As a final-year Law student at SOAS University of London with a predicted First Class Honours, I'm passionate about building a career in US immigration law by leveraging my academic foundation and practical immigration experience gained across multiple jurisdictions.

My interest in immigration law was solidified during my internship at Westkin Associates in London, where I assisted with research on UK immigration regulations and supported complex cases including asylum claims and citizenship by descent applications. I drafted initial legal representation letters for UK-specific visas and naturalization, learning how to align client circumstances with relevant statutes and Immigration Rules. Though my experience has been primarily UK-focused, I've developed transferable skills in legal research, case analysis, and client advocacy that are directly applicable to US immigration practice.

My practical understanding of immigration processes extends beyond my formal internship. I've independently managed over 30 visa applications across diverse jurisdictions including the US, UK, Canada, and several other countries. Additionally, I've completed over 10 applications for Kenyan citizenship through various pathways including birth, descent, and marriage. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into the documentation requirements, procedural nuances, and client concerns common in immigration matters across different legal systems.

I expanded my legal skills through participation in the SOAS Detention Law Clinic, where I provided legal advice to immigration detainees under solicitor supervision. This work enhanced my understanding of immigration policy and advocacy. My volunteer work with Pro Bono Community at Citizens Advice Bureau further developed my client interview techniques and case management capabilities, as I provided advice on welfare, housing, and employment matters to vulnerable clients.

My customer service background at Menzies Aviation, where I communicated with international border force agencies to resolve passenger information inconsistencies, has equipped me with valuable skills in documentation verification and cross-border communication. This experience, combined with my client-facing role at Skechers, has strengthened my ability to work effectively with diverse individuals from varied backgrounds.

Currently based in London, I will be relocating to Buenos Aires, Argentina as a digital nomad in July/August 2025 with proper work authorization, allowing for full alignment with all US time zones while maintaining remote work capabilities.

As I complete my law degree, I'm particularly interested in building a career in US immigration law while continuing to develop as a legal professional. I aspire to become a dual-qualified lawyer (UK & USA) and am currently improving my language skills in Korean and Spanish to better serve international clients in the future.

I bring strong academic credentials, relevant immigration experience, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals navigate complex immigration systems to achieve their goals of global mobility.
