I told him, "My motto is: 'Whatever gives me the least headache down the line.'"

I like to build things and build them well. I'm lazy and so I prefer good communication upfront so we can do things right the first time. The balance of cost/benefit is really important to me so I spend a lot of time studying the tradeoffs between approaches: when to optimize and when to brute-force it, when to build it for next week and when to build it for five years from now.

Aside from that, coding is what I do, not who I am. I really like swing dancing and I'm trying to learn the Irish fiddle. I love traveling and I'm currently based out of Montreal.
