Come help us transform everyday travel into extraordinary experiences.\n\n\nABOUT THE ROLE:\nReporting to the VP, Tax & Treasury, As our successful Senior Manager of Treasury, you will be managing the day to day cash management operations of Plusgrade. \n\n\nYou will be an integral part of the Treasury team and will assume ownership of executing key processes within Treasury to facilitate day to day operational activities. \n\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:\nCash Management\n\n\n•Assisting the VP, Tax and Treasury, manage the day to day global cash function including investing, cash concentration, disbursements, account setup and funding, and analysis / reporting on Treasury KPI’s\n•Manage excess cash and maximize the ROI in compliance with the Board approved investment policy, recommending changes to investments and policies to address changes in market conditions\n•Lead operational improvement projects and procedures for payment operations, bank account openings, bank account maintenance, and other operations activities\n•Work collaboratively with the FP&A team to accurately forecast cash balances - you will own the company’s cash projections by incorporating revenue and expense forecasts, and future tax payments and capital expenditures\n•Identify and assist in implementing treasury best practices\n•Manage intercompany funding including timely settlement of intercompany balances\n•Manage short and long-term subsidiary funding needs while monitoring and assessing economic and regulatory conditions for foreign currency exposure\n•Lead and manage of a team of 3 Treasury Analysts\n•Monitor and ensure compliance with banking covenants, including forecasting out cash requirements and their impact on covenants\n\n\nForeign Exchange \n\n\n•Execute against the Corporation’s FX hedging program, making recommendations on appropriate hedge levels and identifying FX risk areas to senior management\n•Monitor currency rates to forecasted income statement and balance sheet unrealized gains (losses)\n\n\nBanking Relationships\n\n\n•Maintain daily banking relationships including bank system reporting, account balances, fees, letters of credit, and corporate guarantees\n•Manage employee access to banking systems on a global basis\n•Ensure accurate and complete account maintenance including authorized signatories and approvers, opening and closing accounts, and adding services\n\n\nExternal / Internal Reporting, Controls & Compliance\n\n\n•Calculate financial ratios required for credit facility compliance purposes and prepare the compliance package required for submission to lenders\n•Compile and analyze treasury information to meet monthly, quarterly and fiscal year end management reporting and external auditor requirements\n•Assist in drafting of Audit Committee / Board slides as it relates to Treasury operations and initiatives\n•Work with Risk & ePayments team to ensure cash processing is meeting Corporate legal entity structure objectives of Points\n•Work with IT and banking partners to automate workflows for more efficient and auditable compliance and internal controls\n•Review and approve month end journal entries and accruals for all loans, foreign exchange and bank transactions\n•Ensure accuracy and completeness of related general ledger transactions\n•Review and approve bank reconciliations\n•Oversee or participate in ad hoc projects and other responsibilities as needed\n\n\nYOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:\n•5+ years treasury/accounting/banking experience \n•Bachelor’s degree in finance, accountancy or business administration\n•Professional designation (CPA (CA/CMA/CGA), CFA, MBA) preferred\n•Experience with online banking platforms across multiple financial institutions and thorough understanding of cash management methods\n•Strong understanding of accounting treatments for cash management and funding structures under IFRS as it relates to financial reporting \n•Experience in a multi jurisdiction & multi currency environment \n•Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills including the capacity to perform detailed analysis while understanding broader context and implications\n•Is proactive and demonstrates a high level of self- motivation, flexibility and organizational skills\n•Experience managing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for enhancing and driving the company’s capital planning efforts in support of the long-term strategic plan, conducting market research, and supporting business case development. This role requires a candidate with strong analytical skills and business acumen, knowledge of core financial concepts, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of supporting strategic initiatives.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:\n\n\nCapital Planning and Business Casing:\n• Provide financial support for the development and evaluation of new investment initiatives, including working with business leaders to create objective business cases to support strategic decisions.\n• Build, maintain, and improve financial models to assess feasibility and financial impact to the company.\n• Support the creation of persuasive presentation decks to communicate plans, progress reports, and recommendations effectively.\n• Evaluate, monitor and report on the performance of various capital investment opportunities and projects.\n• Collaborate with finance and budget owners to secure necessary funding.\n\n\nAnnual Planning and 36-Month Plan:\n• Build and maintain a comprehensive 36-month financial plan that outlines key initiatives and their timelines.\n• Implement a robust quarterly reporting process to track progress against the plan on key investment initiatives and report on results to the executive team and stakeholders.\n\n\nAd-hoc:\n• Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats that could impact the company's growth.\n• Establish clear and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) on specific projects, and milestones to track progress towards achieving our strategic goals.\n\n\n\n\nYOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:\n• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).\n• Proven experience (5+ years) in strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, or a similar role.\n• Strong grasp of financial statement fundamentals, including working knowledge of the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.\n• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights\n• Proficiency in Google Suite of products (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides)\n• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders\n• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines\n• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and/or Netsuite and/or Salesforce is preferred\n• Excellent project management abilities.\n• Strategic thinking and vision.\n• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.\n• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT US:\n🏦 RRSP/401(k) Matching \n🏥 Comprehensive Health Plans \n📅 Unlimited Vacation/PTO \n✈️ Travel Experience Credit \n🧘 Annual Wellness Credit \n🥗 Team Events and Monthly Lunches\n💻 Home Office/Commuter Credit \n🌅 Work From Anywhere Program \n🍼 Parental Leave Top Up \n🌍 Adventure Pass\n\n\nOUR PROCESS:\nPlusgrade is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to providing an accessible recruitment process.
