\nAbout The Role\n\nThe Gateway Technology team is looking for an experienced Javascript Engineer to join our BOS Web Engine teamโs effort to build an experimental runtime/rendering layer aimed at replacing the Discovery Virtual Machine with a full-featured React (or Preact) environment, enabling access to the greater web ecosystem including NPM dependencies. \n\nWe are looking for a productive, pragmatic, empathetic collaborator to join the team. Someone who is excited by challenging technical problems, has proficiency in low-level browser APIs, and familiarity with framework rendering pipelines (i.e. React or Preact).\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nThis position requires working on open source projects within a team of full stack and front-end engineers, communicating very closely with internal engineering teams and the community of developers building upon core components of the blockchain operating system.\n\n\n* Working with full stack and front-end engineers on achieving the vision of the BOS Web Engine;\n\n* Work on a collaborative and globally distributed team of world class experienced engineers, providing an opportunity to learn and grow your technical skill set.\n\n* Interface with many open-source projects where you might be asked to represent the NEAR organization\n\n\n\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\n\n* Deep familiarity with web standards\n\n* Fluency in Javascript/Typescript\n\n* Fluency in React or Preact\n\n* Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure\n\n* Experience working with a fully remote team and the skills to excel at working in a remote environment\n\n* You should be familiar with the full stack and front-end development\n\n* A solid understanding of CSS\n\n* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields is a must\n\n\n\n\nWe'd Love If You Have\n\n\n* Experience building UIs which managed multiple browsing contexts\n\n* Open source contributions and previous or continued involvement in open source communities\n\n* Familiarity with other crypto or blockchain technologies\n\n* Experience working at a startup\n\n* Deep knowledge of the React or Preact render pipeline\n\n\n\n\nHereโs What Our Interview Process Looks Like\n\nOur interviews take place via Zoom and typically consists of the following stages:\n\n\n* Internal Recruiter Call (30 to 45 minutes)\n\n* Meet with the Hiring Manager (30-45 minutes)\n\n* Technical Interviews (3 x 60 minutes) \n\n* Pagoda Values Interview (30 to 45 minutes)\n\n\n\n\nCompensation \n\nThe base salary range for this role is $165,750 - $195,000, which represents the salary range applicable to US locations only.
