If you've designed complex scalable systems, built powerful and intuitive user interfaces, or worked with great teams on hard problems in consumer products, this is the place for you. \n\n\nThe Kik tech stack revolves around Java + Javascript, so we require some experience with those languages. More than checking the boxes on specific technologies though, we're looking for driven engineers with real technical depth and a desire to understand the entire business. We want people who are passionate and care deeply about the success of the whole company.\n\n\nWe are looking for a savvy full-stack engineer to help continue to iterate on a variety of projects on our Kik application. These projects will require a hands-on, roll up your sleeves mentality and vary in percent of time focused on front versus back-end development. Day to day will focus on maintaining, implementing, expanding exciting features as well as activities associated with other areas such as database and architecture design.\n\n\n\nWhat You'll Do\n* Work with product, design and other engineering teams to implement new features and transform existing products\n* Build stable, extendable, testable code\n* Participate in design and code reviews\n* Deploy to Production and Staging environments\n* Be available on the On-Call Schedule in case of outages\n\n\n\nWhat We're Searching For\n* Minimum of 3+ years experience in engineering, preferably within ad-tech or the user generated content space\n* B.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study, but not required\n* Full-stack engineering experience with Java \n* Vast knowledge of JavaScript\n* Experience designing and building real-world web applications and javascript libraries with cross browser support\n* Familiar with agile methodologies and proper testing efforts\n* Enjoy continuous learning of new technologies and best implementations\n\n\n\n\n\nAt MediaLab, we rely on a range of backgrounds, experiences, and ideas.
