This position will report into the Lead Online Engineer and is fully remote.\n \nWhat You Will Do:\n\n\n* Involvement in full stack development working on both game client and backend services\n\n* Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to deliver high quality systems and features\n\n* Dive into a large codebase to simplify processes, solve challenges, and identify deficiencies\n\n* Develop and maintain game server code with emphasis on stability, performance, and scalability\n\n* Perform load testing, create unit tests, and conduct troubleshooting to ensure optimal live services\n\n* Produce code that is clean, efficient, well-documented, and conforms to our coding standards\n\n\n\n \nWho Will Be a Great Fit:\n\n\n* Bachelorโs or Masterโs Degree in Computer Science\n\n* 2+ years of relevant game development experience\n\n* Familiarity with Client/Server and Peer-to-Peer architectures\n\n* Experience with 3rd Party APIs\n\n* Experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, etc.)\n\n* Proficient in developing multiplayer video games\n\n* Solid understanding of multi-threading concepts\n\n* Strong object-oriented programming background and proven experience to write reliable, performant, and well documented code\n\n* Proficiency with Python, C++, JavaScript, SQL\n\n* Ability to write clean, well-documented code\n\n* Aptitude for working and collaborating effectively as part of a team and is self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills\n\n* Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice\n\n* Love for video games (not just ours!)\n\n\n\n \nMight Be Nice:\n\n\n* Experience working with PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Steamworks\n\n* Proficient with online social game systems and games with live development\n\n* Familiarity of cloud-based systems, and knowledge of caching systems and mechanisms\n\n* Understanding of the REST protocol and sockets\n\n\n\nTo learn more about Visual Concepts and our studio locations, check out our website at www.vcentertainment.com \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
