We hope to find a person who is excited by new ideas and experimentation, someone who is eager to share what they learn so that they might inspire their teammates. \nJob Duties:\n\n* Collaborate with level and narrative designers to create memorable experiences for players throughout the living world.\n\n* Design and white box world structure and map layout to ensure missions, stories and gameplay concepts are paced, balanced and connected.\n\n* Design and create systemic world moments, as well as bespoke quests, that breathe life into the game.\n\n* Combine hand-crafted set-pieces with emerging AI behavior to create a โlivingโ world that offers players variety at every step of the game.\n\n* Work closely with the writing and systems teams to ensure a cohesive experience.\n\n\n\nSkills, Experience and Qualifications:\n\n* Experience working in a professional Game Development environment.\n\n* Design-focused portfolio of content examples. \n\n* Experience developing, or a desire to develop content focused around replayability and/or systemic, emerging moments.\n\n* Proficient with 3D world editing and scripting tools and workflows (we are using UE5).\n\n* Understanding of what it takes to execute on an idea.\n\n* Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative.\n\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\n* Flexible and collaborative mindset and attitude.\n\n* Knowledge and love of games, with a deep desire to push the medium forward.\n\n\n\nWe are Cloud Chamber: a collaborative team of inspired minds who create games together. Below are the expected salary and wage ranges for applicants based in locations where the pay transparency law is in effect:\n\nColorado: $55,000 and $100,000 per year\nCalifornia: $70,000 and $125,000 per year\nNew York State (inclusive of New York City): $70,000 and $125,000 per year\nWashington: $55,000 and $100,000 per year\n\nBase pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
