Blue Origin, LLC is hiring a Remote Integration and Test Manager EGSE Lunar Transportation
\nThis role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops Blue Originโs multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. \n\nThe role includes both personnel management of Lunar Integration and Test Engineers in Washington and project engineering for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). The Manager is a leader of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers who perform testing and integration as well as developing the electrical test equipment used across the entire spectrum of component, subsystem, and vehicle development and verification tests. \n\nTravel: Position nominally has about 10% travel with infrequent select periods up to 50% to support testing at remote sites. \n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to: \n\n\nIntegrate, coordinate, and triage engineering support across integrated product teams and test engineers. \n\nRecruit, hire, manage, and mentor a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team. \n\nLead their employees' professional development (e.g., performance evaluations, compensation and promotion management, and routine one-on-one development conversations) and coach them on career development. \n\nPeople management is intended to be 30% of the scope of work for this role. The number of assigned personnel will be adjusted to maintain a ratio of no more than 12-15 employees.\n\n70% of scope will be in executing as a project engineer supporting EGSE development\n\nYou will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program.\n\nYou will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\n2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups with responsibility for career management of employees\n\n6+ years of experience in at least one specialty area applicable to space flight\n\nExperience leading electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) development for spacecraft, including managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost\n\nDemonstrated leadership in establishing a high-performing safety culture\n\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\n\nMinimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical field\n\nAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion\n\nMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\nExperience with verification, integration, and test, of orbital vehicles or human rated spacecraft\n\nDemonstrated drive to correct errors at their root and not pass them downstream\n\nDemonstrated effectiveness in implementing continuous improvement for processes, methods, and practices.\n\nFamiliar with agile project management\n\nExperience with space vehicle design development and test\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
