We're looking for passionate people who have worked on the installation of heating systems and we provide full training for candidates looking to make the transition to renewables! \n\n\nWe're recruiting Engineers nationwide, this job posting is for the South East England region. \n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you'll do \n* Youโll work as part of a team to install low carbon technology in customers' homes - starting with Air Source Heat Pumps\n* Youโll learn about new technologies and get awesome training in our state-of-the-art ยฃ10m training centre; giving you the confidence to install the kit, to find solutions to challenges and to share low carbon advice with our customers\n* Youโll use your knowledge and experience of heat pump installations to deliver an outrageous experience\n* Youโll review and collaborate on technical specifications and mechanical drawings\n* Youโll work with an electrician to commission Air Source Heat Pumps\n* Youโll lead a team; be responsible for your crew and empower them to make on-the-fly decisions to do whatโs right for you and your customers\n\n\n\n What you'll have \n* Youโll be experienced in the installation of boilers and it's a plus if you know about air source heat pumps\n* Youโll be an experienced plumbing and heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find. Youโll also have domestic hot & cold water system knowledge\n* Youโll have experience of reviewing and challenging technical specifications & mechanical drawings\n* It would be great if you had knowledge of and a basic competency in electrical levels \n* It would be great if you had experience with hydraulic systems to design & quality standards - CIBSE & MCS - but this isn't a must\n* Similarly F-gas would be great but itโs not essential\n\n\n\nQualifications\n* For this role, you need a minimum NVQ level 2 (or equivalent experience) within the Plumbing and Heating pathway and a full, clean Driving Licence\n\n\nIt would be great if you had some of the below too\n\n* WRAS Water Supply Regs\n* UHW10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems \n* Gas safe certification\n* BPEC L3 or equivalent in heat pump installation\n\n\n\nWhat we offer \n* ยฃ38,000 basic plus overtime/on-call (ยฃ45,000 on-target earnings) (+ London weighting if living within M25)\n* ยฃ2,500 annual performance bonus\n* Training programme worth ยฃ7,000 at our state-of-the-art R&D centre\n* Share options in Octopus Energy Group\n* ยฃ25 per week lunch allowance\n* Use of company tools\n* Uniform and all PPE\n* Company vehicle and fuel\n* Support for personal development in Renewable Tech\n* Octopus Energy benefits package (see below)\n\n\n\nOther Perks \n* Octopus Energy is a unique culture.
