Fnality Services performs these functions \nunder contractual arrangements with each Fnality Local.\nThe CRO Role: \nFnality Services is looking for a Chief Risk Officer who can demonstrate competencies which will enable them to successfully: \n * Work in a regulated environment in the financial sector, \nwith direct accountability to regulators and the Board for the \nmanagement of risk of Fnality Services\n * Build a risk \nculture that is embedded in every policy and process of the company \n (Technology, Security, Personnel, Environment etc) \n * Design \n and implement the risk framework for Fnality Services to ensure full \n compliance with regulatory expectations whilst maintaining the \nFnality Ways of Working approach\n * Lead, alongside the CEO, the successful operation of Fnality Services.\n \n\nYou will need to take accountability for \n * The day-to-day running and continuous improvement of the \nFnality Risk System for Fnality Services and its associated \necosystem. This includes the risk model (structure and content), \nthe risk activities (Identification, Assessment, Evaluation and \nTreatment) and efficacy of mitigations. It will also include \noversight of the incident management process and approach\n * The \n effective running of the risk governance framework within Fnality \nServices (e.g. risk committee), working closely with the other \nlines of defence in our three lines of defence risk management \nmodel\n * Compliance with the Operational Resilience \ndirectives from the Bank of England as they apply to Financial \nMarket Infrastructures and broader global standards e.g. those set \nby BIS/FSB etc\n * Reporting on the risk management of \nFnality Services internally (e.g. to the Board) and externally \n(e.g. to the regulators), building effective working relationships \nwith them \n * Managing and monitoring the risks associated with Fnality Services to assure the level of service required\n * Taking a hands-on approach to incident management analysis,\n staying informed, providing insight and guidance, as well as \nproviding updates to regulators and other external stakeholders\n * Facilitating\n the sharing and analysis of information between other Fnality \nlegal entities in different jurisdictions, as required, to ensure \n cross-jurisdiction risk management and compliance \n * Management of vendor and partnership relationships in conjunction with the CEO \n * Managing resources in the Fnality Ways of Working ensuring T-shaped development and performance.\n \n\nRequired competencies:\n * Extensive Risk management expertise in banking or \nfinancial services gained from compliance or operational risk \nexperience\n * Experience of building operational processes and risk management frameworks from the ground up\n * Senior interaction with regulators\n * Ability to operate at C-Suite level when dealing with the Board and external participants\n * AGILE methodologies (preferred)\n * People management\n * Understanding of wholesale payments industry/settlement risk strongly preferred.\n \n\nA bit more about us\nDigital transformation is changing our lives, work and businesses. \nWhile other sectors evolve however, financial markets remain slow, \nfragmented and siloed.
