\nExponent is a new DeFi protocol launching soon on Solana. Our team has years of experience working in Solana for teams like Squads, Kamino, Raydium and more. We are backed by top investors and angels in the space. At Exponent you will have the opportunity to build with us the first yield trading exchange on Solana. Through Exponent, users can speculate on yields across Solana DeFi (interest rates, rewards, airdrops), hedge them, or reduce their volatility. By joining us, you will have the opportunity to build a more efficient financial economy on Solana within an $8B+ ecosystem.\nYour Role As an early-stage startup, we are seeking engineers who can iterate and ship quickly as well as have a high degree of ownership and agency. In this role you will:\n\n* Design, implement, and maintain reliable backend services and APIs to power our suite of DeFi products\n\n* Develop, test, and ship new backend features that support our protocol (such as historical charts, transaction history, position performance, etc)\n\n* Manage and optimize our databases\n\n* Work closely with our frontend and product teams to deliver high quality user experiences\n\n\n\nRequirements Although we donโt look for exact minimum years of experience, we expect you to have some existing qualifications:\n\n* Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role\n\n* Proficiency in web API design and development\n\n* Strong knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and query tuning\n\n* Proficiency in back-end languages. We use Typescript, Python, and Rust\n\n* Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud. GCP is our Cloud service provider of choice\n\n* Passion for decentralized finance\n\n\n\nStrong plus\n\n* Experience working with blockchain technology like Solana\n\n* Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Docker, CI/CD, performance monitoring)\n\n\n\nAbout the Exponent team Weโre a fast moving and degen at heart team building defi products to improve the Solana DeFi ecosystem and bring better financial products to it. We started Exponent because we ourselves were in need of better solutions to speculate and hedge defi yields on Solana. As an early-stage crypto startup we iterate and ship fast, but never neglect security (we are paranoid about it). We also care about attentiveness and giving our users a great, well-thought and secure experience over overloaded product features. We recently closed a fundraising round by top investors and angels in the space and are looking to expand our team of five as we prepare for our public launch. If you crave autonomy and agency to deliver top class financial products and are looking for a long-term oriented crypto protocol, come join our team. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

๐ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site.
