**Description**\n\nIn this role you will work on our Agents written in Go and Rust and make heavy use of eBPF. Our agents are deployed on our usersโ infrastructure and collect metrics, container, Kubernetes, and system events, application transactions, network request information, security events, etc. We also use an open source log shipper written in Rust. On the backend we use micro services written in Go and use Kafka, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.\n\n\nWe are looking for a talented, self-starting engineer to join our Sematext Cloud development team and work on our agents, backend services, ingestion pipeline, and storage.\n\n\nAll our infrastructure is in AWS. We use Terraform and Ansible for automation and Jenkins for CI. All of our applications run in Docker containers orchestrated using Kubernetes. We try to automate everything we can. We use Github workflow and Kanban boards in JIRA. Most developers use Docker running on Linux or OSX. **About Sematext and this opportunity**\n\nWe are looking for a DevOps Engineer to come and grow as part of our fully distributed, 100% remote team. We have been around for ~10 years and were the first company to offer metrics+logs+traces together, several years before they were known as three pillars of observability. We are looking for a teammate interested in taking our all aspects of DevOps and DevSecOps โ infrastructure automation, security, monitoring, etc. to the next level.\n\n**About our infra**\n\nWe run Sematext Cloud in AWS US and AWS Europe, but we use a minimal number of AWS-provided services. Almost all services are containerized and run in Kubernetes. Jenkins is used for builds and we have automated builds, test/PR environments, and deployments that happen many times per day. We make use of Ansible and Terraform. Everything is redundant and there are not SPOFs.
