Overview \n\nThe Manager, Accounting will lead a high performing accounting team and the month-end close process on a timely basis, ensure integrity of the financial data, comply with US GAAP reporting standards, ensure proper internal controls implementation, drive process improvements, and support system implementations. The Manager, Accounting will play a critical role in developing and strengthening the internal control environment for our high growth, private equity backed business. While the business today operates primarily in the United States, the Company has acquired multiple businesses and expects to continue to expand via both organic and inorganic paths. This position will also play a critical role during the annual financial statement audit, tax compliance filings and business operations.\n\nThis position will report to the VP, Controller and is open to U.S.-based remote candidates (state-dependent) as well as in-office candidates in the Portland, OR metro area.\nWhat Youโll Be Accountable For \n1. Manage, mentor, and develop Rubyโs Accounting Team; provide management support and guidance to direct reports on deliverables and accounting strategies. Set and communicate team vision and motivate the team to success; measure accomplishments, hold people accountable, and give constructive feedback to facilitate professional development.\n2. Oversight of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting processes. Compete the full cycle duties for A/R and A/P.\n3. Manage the month-end close process; prepare timely and accurate financial statements and related analysis in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including the review of account reconciliations, variance analysis, and research paper prepared by the Accounting Team.\n4. Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor strong accounting, policies and procedures. Improve internal controls, and systems for collecting, analyzing and reporting information to the organization in an efficient manner.\n5. Prepare, and review journal entries, transactions, monthly accruals, expense allocation recorded in the books. Review payroll, and employee benefit related journal entries.\n6. Manage banking operations. Provide guidance to Accounts Payable, review and approve vendor bills and check runs in accordance with Ruby procedures. Oversight of travel and expense management system and related operations.\n7. Responsible for the fixed asset process and subledger.\n8. Proficient in technical accounting memo documentation; develop, process, and prepare as needed.\n9. Help identify key requirements, evaluation, selection, and implementation/integration of systems necessary for both control and scalability.\n10. Prepare information requests related to the preparation of federal and state income tax returns.\n11. Manage financial statement preparation and annual audit process.\n12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization to ensure timely and accurate completion of key reporting activities.\n13. Partnering with a variety of vendors and platforms to complete accounting operations (e.g. expense management software, payroll providers, etc).\n14. Prepare and review payroll.\n15. The Seagramโs Associate Brand Manager (ABM) will support the Brand Manager with the development and execution of national & local marketing campaigns along with sales strategies and tactics designed to grow brand health and awareness, market share, volume and profitability across markets. In order to support this work, the ABM will use internal and external data to support the development of fact-based selling stories, exciting promotional campaigns and thematic programming. The ABM will work to ensure all activities align with brand standards and legal guidelines. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Support 360 activity planning through the development, implementation, and evaluation of programming in collaboration with other functions
Oversee the development of localized brand activations in collaboration with sales regions / districts / chain account managers
Liaison and brief Trade Marketing, PR, Social Media and Innovation teams regarding relevant brand projects
Work closely with Trade Marketing, PR, Social Media and Innovation teams on the development, implementation, and evaluation of activation plans

Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelorโs Degree in Marketing or related field required
6+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within beer or consumer packaged goods industry

2+ years of people management experience
Previous brand management experience preferred
Demonstrated application of research/insights and data to make strategic recommendations
Experience with development and commercialization of CPG products
Strong presentation skills as well as advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

About The Opportunity
The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Ceridian HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). The Principal Service Consultant works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project and identify critical dependencies. Project responsibilities include; facilitation of customer requirements gathering, design of the Ceridian solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance and design/configuration oversight to other project resources, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager.
What Youโll Get To Do
Provide Implementation Services to customers:
Support the project team in the validation of customer's business requirements and mapping to Ceridian functionality
Design and document innovative solutions to solve customersโ business needs
Guide the configuration of the Ceridian application to meet customerโs business requirements
Act as subject matter expert (SME) on strategic implementations
Lead internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables
Contribute to Internal Implementation Initiatives:
Design and document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository
Document best practices and share with the Practice
Lead the subject matter expert (SME) program in at least one area of expertise (Payroll, Benefits, WFM)
Regularly participate in internal process improvement initiatives
Focus on Continuing Education:
Contribute to internal knowledge share; review questions and provide feedback on a continuous basis
Participate in Continuing Education sessions, lead Implementation best practice sessions
Complete new release training on a timely basis; be fully versed on new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release
Mentor consultants on best practice implementation of new product features and functionality, including new customer end to end implementations
Support the sales cycle through solution review and feedback and assistance with scoping and estimation
Participate in prospect discussions regarding solution overview and implementation considerations

Skills And Experience We Value
Bachelorโs degree or equivalent experience
Masterโs degree or post graduate coursework an asset
10+ years of experience in human capital management applications consulting
5+ years in Consultant role with Ceridian HCM
Solid experience in business process mapping
Experience in change management an asset
Technical Skills Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Internal expert with software in a SaaS / Cloud computing environment including experience with HRIS
Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL and asset
Experience with one or more of the following applications in addition to Ceridian HCM: SalesForce.com, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, PeopleSoft, iChris or Preceda
Ability to effectively implement all Ceridian HCM modules
Expert knowledge of common human capital management (HCM) business practices
Deep understanding of different industries and how Ceridian implement best practices apply to the customerโs business practices
Deep Ceridian product knowledge in at least two Ceridian HCM modules (Payroll, WSS, T&A, Leave etc.), as demonstrated through multiple implementations

Risk Assessments
Support the risk team in advising the 1st line of defense to assess and prioritize risks, define controls, identify control gaps, and adequately respond to risk and ensure information is reflected in the enterprise risk management system.
Prepare risk analyses for risk assessments with business partners.
Assist with input to the enterprise risk management system of risk assessment results gathered during annual updates.
Maintain quality of data in enterprise risk management system. Risk Detection & Mitigation
Work with 1st line of defense to ensure tracking of risk responses.
Assist risk team in performing targeted reviews for top and emerging risks facing the credit union which typically involve trending and reconciling data, conducting staff interviews/surveys, identifying process gaps and improvements, and reviewing and updating policies/procedures.
Perform evaluation of controls to determine effectiveness and recommend improvements Risk Management Committee
Schedule and assist with the preparation of meeting materials for Enterprise Risk Management Committee including emerging risks summary, top risk heat map, mitigating actions tracking, incident reporting, risk assessment results, business continuity program update, collect data for risk metrics, meeting minutes, and others as required.
