We also like to have fun along the way.\nWe’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Hosting Operations team.\nOur offices are on the outskirts of Ludlow, in Shropshire, but we’re flexible in our our working arrangements. You could choose to work in the office or work remotely. You can also pick and choose start and finish times to suit you.\nYour typical day might include:\nRefactoring an Ansible playbook or custom Python module\nAssisting our Support team in diagnosing an issue with a customer environment\nContributing in a planning meeting about future infrastructure\nPlanning a customer migration or upgrade to our infrastructure\nAs a successful candidate you:\nHave excellent organisational skills\nAre a manager of one and can use your own initiative\nCan quickly write a script for almost anything\nAre familiar with the entire stack and think DevOps is the future\nFinish the job properly\nLeave things better than you found them\nWrite a script for anything you've done more than twice\nCan’t go to sleep if a production system isn’t perfect\nLove to learn new things and do so quickly\nDon’t just use other people’s code, but write your own\nMake great decisions, but know when to ask for advice\nIt would be great if you have:\nWindows and/ or Linux Server administration\nVMware\nHaproxy\nVarnish\nDocker and Kubernetes\nConfiguration management ideally using Ansible\nSolid working knowledge of networking\nExperience of DevOps culture and working practices.\nCompetent in either Python, Perl, Ruby.\nThings you'll be excited by include:\nCloud Computing\nSoftware-defined data center\nInfrastructure as code\nDevOps\nDocker\nGit\nConfiguration management \n\nBe sure to mention the words **DRAW RURAL CLAIM** when applying to show you read the job post completely.
