They will drive our understanding of web functionality and be a key contributor on a highly skilled, cross-functional team. The ideal candidate demonstrates an understanding of the client-side web ecosystem, participate in meaningful discussions, and work closely within a diverse, collaborative, and agile team.\n\nAbout the Job:\n\n\n* Work closely with the product and design cohorts to design and develop new features and functionality for our web applications.\n\n* Create high-quality, testable, shippable code and help perform code reviews for teammates.\n\n* Help contribute to an overall web engineering roadmap, including research of the latest processes, frameworks, and user experience design.\n\n* Continuously improve our client-facing experience to bring that additional polish that sets us apart from our peers.\n\n* Ship new features and functionality across locales, in collaboration with product, marketing, IT, and executive teams.\n\n* You are comfortable working with remote teams.\n\n* You have a music background. Bonus if itโs with a fretted instrument.\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you need:\n\n\n* 4+ years of experience in a client web engineering role for a high-trafficked customer-facing single page application, including experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS, and how those interact together to create meaningful web experiences.\n\n* Have experience using Typescript.\n\n* Have experience shipping features that adhere to accessibility best practices.\n\n* Knowledge of the React ecosystem and how web engineering is changing to a Javascript/Typescript-first model.\n\n* Have experience with e2e testing.\n\n* Understanding and empathy for how end users interact with the web from their mobile devices, tablets, and desktops, and how that interaction drives implementation details.\n\n* Demonstrated ability to work well with agile, high-quality engineering, design, and product teams.\n\n* A level of curiosity and a strong desire to learn, grow, and help drive an overall web engineering strategy with your teammates so our users get the best possible user experience.\n\n\n\n\nFender Digital is 100% remote, however, we do have an office to work out of for local employees.
