\nWe’re looking for a Vice President of Platform Engineering to direct, manage, and grow our DevOps team. This role will report directly to the Head of Engineering.\n\nGarner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is available for candidates who are comfortable working remotely in the US.\nResponsibilities will include:\n\n\n* \n\n\n* Manage and grow a small team of highly effective DevOps engineers\n\n* Work with team leads and the Head of Engineering to drive out our software platform strategy\n\n* Protect our users’ privacy and security through infrastructure policies and access controls\n\n* Instrument and monitor total system performance\n\n* Support the Garner app in production\n\n* Our Software Kit: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Istio, NATS, Postgres, ElasticSearch, GitLab\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIdeal candidate has:\n\n\n* 10+ years experience delivering software solutions\n\n* 6+ years hands-on work with cloud infrastructure, containers, monitoring, and alerting\n\n* 2+ years working in a security-conscious environment\n\n* 1+ years direct management experience\n\n* Expertise with Terraform\n\n* Experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS\n\n* Experience with Kubernetes\n\n* Experience with Go, especially utilizing Kubernetes APIs\n\n* Experience leading a team using agile methodologies and fluency with the agile toolkit\n\n\n\nWhat we look for at Garner:\n\n\n* Mission First: Our mission is to transform our healthcare system, delivering high quality and affordable care to all. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws.
