You’ll be collaborating with cross-functional teams and improving our products to meet the needs of our customers.\n\n\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n* Design systems with security and trust as fundamental building blocks\n* Evaluate and implement new coding standards and libraries in a fast-paced and engaging environment\n* Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of an enthusiastic and time-sensitive userbase\n* Suggest best practices and optimizations through code reviews and peer programming\n* Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them\n* Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter\n* Bring positive energy to your day-to-day, and make your coworkers feel included in your interactions\n\n\n\n Who you are:\n* You thrive in a fast-paced organization, preferably a software startup\n* You are self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills\n* Experience working on a consumer-facing product\n* Familiarity with and a passion for cryptocurrencies, web3, or finance\n* Experience working with a diverse, geographically-distributed team\n* Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems\n* Post-secondary education in software engineering, computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, or any related discipline\n\n\n\n\n\nAt Newton, we celebrate our inclusive work environment and welcome members of all backgrounds and perspectives to apply.
