We are seeking a Director/Senior Director of Business Development to lead the sales growth of our modeling laboratory services.\n\nWhat Youโll Do:\n\n\n* Expand Tempus footprint into pharma and biotech, interfacing with internal and external teams to drive revenue and expanded growth in organoid modeling and other functional genomics modalities\n\n* Sell and contract new projects with customers with limited supervision in a quota-driven environment\n\n* Interface with internal Tempus teams, including marketing, leadership, scientists, and technicians to develop novel 3D organoid models, including high throughput high content imaging assays\n\n* Build upon an existing framework to continuously improve organoid and other patient-derived model-based research\n\n* Drive strategic thinking to create best-in-class organoid and functional genomics platforms\n\n* Engage with commercial and academic strategic partners to create next-gen models representing current unmet needs and indications in oncology\n\n* Collaborate with engineers, computational biologists, data scientists, and machine learning scientists on R&D initiatives both internally and with our pharma partners \n\n\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n* 5+ years in a fast-paced sales environment with a focus on NGS, oncology, or biomarker technologies\n\n* Demonstrated expertise in tumor modeling, biomarker strategy, and oncology therapy development\n\n* History of meeting and exceeding sales targets and quotas\n\n* Experience with both internal and external projects involving multidisciplinary teams or collaborations\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Candidates will Possess:\n\n\n* Hands-on experience developing novel protocols, assays, and onboarding new screening technologies including tissue biomarker techniques, cell imaging, 3D cell culture assays, or organoids\n\n* Majority of industrial experience within a drug discovery, CRO services, or technology provider setting\n\n* BS/MS and preferred PhD in Biology\n\n* Ability to function in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment\n\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n\n* Ability to clearly present and demonstrate Tempus capabilities to cross-functional groups in both small and large formats\n\n\n\n\n \n#LI-GL1\n#LI-Hybrid\n#LI-Remote \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
