We do this through giving developers the tools to build on Bitcoin, supporting the growth of the Rootstock ecosystem and expanding the frontiers of decentralised technology. \n\nAs we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for an experienced Blockchain Architect to support the Director of Architecture. This role is crucial in shaping the technical landscape of our projects and ensuring the robustness and scalability of our solutions.\n\nAs a Senior Technical Architect, you will be responsible for architecting and evaluating solutions, addressing technical challenges, and guiding development teams. You will collaborate closely with other technical team members to recommend and implement improvements to our systems. Your continuous research into emerging technologies and ability to inform stakeholders of technical challenges and impacts will be vital in driving our mission forward.\n\n\n\nWhat Youโll be Doing\n\n\n* Architecting solutions based on directed requirements using the capabilities of RootstockLabsโ suite of products.\n\n* Assessing the systems architecture currently in place or being built and working with other technical team members to recommend solutions to improve it\n\n* Proactively identifying and addressing technical challenges to ensure system security, decentralisation, and scalability.\n\n* Providing supervision and guidance to development squads\n\n* Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed\n\n* Informing key stakeholders about any challenges with the current technical solutions being implemented\n\n* Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices may have\n\n* Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat Youโll Bring to the Table\nTechnical Expertise:\n\n\n* 5+ years experience working in the web3 space with a focus on architecture in the later years\n\n* Proficiency in Solidity, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience.\n\n* Strong understanding of Bitcoin script and experience in designing decentralised applications (dApps).\n\n* Extensive knowledge of Java, with additional skills in Rust and JavaScript being advantageous.\n\n* Deep understanding of cryptographic principles and blockchain security practices.\n\n* Familiarity with consensus algorithms (PoW, PoS, DPoS) and blockchain interoperability protocols.\n\n* Experience with smart contract development, review and/or auditing, and best practices.\n\n\n\nProblem-Solving and Innovation:\n\n\n* Demonstrated ability to address complex technical challenges proactively and innovatively\n\n* Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess the business impact of technical decisions.\n\n* Passionate about staying ahead of emerging trends in the Blockchain space, consistently aware of new protocols and technologies, and able to introduce and discuss these innovations in brainstorming and design sessions.\n\n\n\n\nLeadership and Collaboration:\n\n\n* Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\n* Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse, global team.\n\n\n\n\nEducation\n\n\n* BSc/BA in Computer Engineering or similar\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Skills:\n\n\n* \n\n\n* Fluent in English, with Spanish is a plus but not essential.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat Youโll Get Back!\n\n\n* Competitive salary\n\n* 100% remote working (contractor) from anywhere in the world\n\n* Possibility to work at your nearest WeWork space\n\n* Flexible working hours.
