By tackling inefficiencies in the food system, our passionate and motivated team of problem solvers helps save an average of 500,000 pounds of food per week from waste or lesser outcomes, with an all-time savings of 190+ million pounds of food.\nAbout the Role:\n\nThe Maintenance Technician has a critical role within our fulfillment center. This individual ensures that our day-to-day operations maintain production by mitigating the amount of downtime experienced because of equipment failures. The Maintenance Technician will be part of the operations team, under general supervision of the Facility Director. \nResponsibilities:\n\n\nRegularly cleans, inspects, and lubricates equipment. \n\nReplaces or repairs defective parts on conveyors, tape machines, stock carts, etc.\n\nCompletes general plumbing, electrical, and painting as needed.\n\nOperate electrical equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.\n\nConducts maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and HVAC systems.\n\nConducts preventative maintenance on all equipment located within the facility which includes production vehicles (Reach trucks, Cherry pickers, seated forklifts, etc.)\n\nComplete facility inspections and reports as required.\n\nCoordinates scheduled and unscheduled maintenance orders with external contractors.\n\nParticipates in continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nLeads the sanitation and housekeeping efforts for the facility.\n\nFollows facility safety practices and shop housekeeping practices.\n\nPromotes occupational safety standards; gives others feedback on their safety performance.\n\nWork cross-functionally with IT to troubleshoot technical issues.\n\nResponds to emergency maintenance calls.\n\nCompletes routine administrative functions such as filling out PM work orders, recording inspection results, logging emergency work orders, recording parts used from inventory stores.\n\nMaintains regular inventory of spare parts, and components, and executes reorders when inventory reaches the low limits.\n\nFamiliar with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulations.\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalency\n\n2 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment.\n\nMust not have an aversion to heights.\n\nRequired to lift and carry equipment that weighs up to 60 pounds.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualification \n\n\nAn associate degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair\n\nSkilled in forklift and aerial lift operation.\n\nExperience working in a food manufacturing facility.\n\nOperates well in a team setting.\n\nPassionate about leading, coaching, and training people on technical requirements.\n\nExcellent conflict resolution and decision-making abilities.\n\n\n\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\n\nComfortable working in a refrigerated environment (41 degrees and below)\n\nRegular work with computers, including G Suite and Excel. \n\nRegular use of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets\n\nAbility to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel.\n\nAbility to lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds.\n\n\n\n\nBenefits:\n\n\nUnlimited PTO\n\nFlexible work location with some remote opportunity\n\nCompetitive health, dental, and vision plans available.\n\nLife Insurance\n\n401K plan\n\nPotential for commuter benefits.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
