Perplexity applies LLMs for knowledge search at scale, serving millions of users across the world.\n\nIn pursuit of this mission, we are looking for LLM teachers to build recommendation systems for a more engaging, easier to use product.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\nEvaluate AI-generated writing based on guidelines assessing helpfulness, factuality, etc.\n\nReview the work of other teachers.\n\nProduce top-tier original content in response to prompts.\n\nYou create your own working hours depending on project length.\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\nEnrolled in or have completed an Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.\n\nNative-level fluency in English\n\nPossess a strong writing style with excellent English-language spelling and grammar skills.\n\nHave a critical eye and the ability to clearly articulate the strengths and weaknesses of written text.\n\nProfessional writing experience as a researcher, journalist, technical writer, editor, or similar roles\n\nInterest in AI and machine learning concepts\n\n\n\n\nMust have one or more of the following:\n\n\nNative-level fluency in one or more of the following languages: Japanese, Korean, German, French\n\nProven background in data science or coding\n\n\n\nNote: This is a contract role paying $30 USD per hour with an expectation of 40 hours per week.\nAt Perplexity, we've experienced tremendous growth and adoption since publicly launching the world's first fully functional conversational answer engine just over a year ago. Our AI-powered search assistant has amassed 10 million monthly active users as of early 2024, with our mobile apps installed over 1 million times across iOS and Android devices. In 2023 alone, we served over 500 million queries from users around the globe.\n\nTo support our rapid expansion, we've raised significant funding from some of the most respected investors in technology. In January 2024, we raised $73.6 million in a Series B round led by IVP, with participation from NVIDIA, Jeff Bezos' investment fund, NEA, Databricks, and other prominent firms.
