\nWe're looking for a Lead Technical Writer to join our team at Hypixel Studios, which collaborates remotely from around the world. Our members range from industry newcomers to experts with 25+ years of experience. Hytale empowers creative expression across a spectrum of experiences including sandbox adventure, social play, minigames, and creativity using a suite of powerful and accessible tools.\n\n \n\nAs a Lead Technical Writer, you will act as the guide for developing a high-quality documentation program related to various developer and end-user workflows and applications. This includes both curation and editing of documentation as well as designing the ongoing process for managing the documentation program for Hytale. You'll work closely with various disciplines, such as Tech Artists, Engineers, and 3D Artists, to craft awesome content and ensure successful adoption of tools and workflow best practices. \n\n \n\nWho you are:\n\n\n* You have the ability to lead by example and provide guidance and coaching to less experienced writers\n\n* You are someone who manages your time well, and works asynchronously in a collaborative environment\n\n* You have a history of creative problem solving and building strong relationships across disciplines\n\n* You’re an excellent communicator and are passionate about working across disciplines and timezones to deliver work aligned to the studio’s goals and globally distributed team\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSome of your role:\n\n\n* Partnering with Product Owners and Engineers to understand each feature’s underlying technology, target audience, and documentation needs\n\n* Developing templates and documentation standards and other related repositories and structures as needed, while leading by example in ensuring that documentation is as clear, concise, accurate, and as usable as possible\n\n* Owning the content development process, including facts gathering, quality assurance, file organization and management, and presenting code samples\n\n* Identify problems and suggest ways to better deliver accurate, complete, and well-written content that all meaningful audience levels understand (technical and non-technical)\n\n* Establish the craft of Technical Writing at Hypixel Studios\n\n\n\n\n \n\nEssential Traits:\n\n\n* Minimum of 6 years as a technical writer in the tech industry\n\n* Extensive experience working with technology teams, or within the tech space, to help document processes, procedures, user guides, and diagrams for systems\n\n* Proficiency with a variety of text editors or suites (e.g. Notion, Google Docs, Sheets)\n\n* Validated experience creating and developing technical content\n\n* Experience designing and developing content development processes\n\n\n\n\n \n\nBonus Traits:\n\n\n* Champion of fundamental technical writing disciplines and principles\n\n* Experience with multi-media content editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite)\n\n* Ability to learn highly technical products quickly\n\n* Understanding of source control systems and maintaining multiple versions of content\n\n\n\n\n \n\nWe can offer:\n\n\n* Competitive salary\n\n* Annual Performance Bonus (APB)\n\n* Quality of Life increases\n\n* Christmas closure\n\n* A chance to work on a new game project with an extremely motivated team\n\n* Opportunities to learn and grow personally and professionally\n\n* A stable and secure work environment\n\n* The ability to work remotely\n\n\n\n\n \n\nWe’re looking for applicants who are self-driven, put players first, and that have a history of making cool stuff.
