You will work with founders, builders, and visionaries to position them as thought leaders through written content and interview opportunities, foster ties with journalists, and keep a sharp eye for relevant commentary ops. While working in-house, you will have agency-style exposure to dozens of exciting projects and will help them navigate the world of PR and media relations with professionalism and style.Responsibilities\n\n* You will communicate with the projects across the peaq ecosystem to identify news and updates that have a high likelihood of generating coverage.\n\n* You will write press releases, clear, concise, but still painting a colorful story.\n\n* You will map the relevant media outlets and journalists for every story and look for the best approaches to them.\n\n* You will write killer pitches that do a ton of work with only a handful of words and dispatch them to your target bank.\n\n* You will seek out relevant commentary and interview opportunities, work on thought leadership and executive positioning, and monitor the media for newsjacking opportunities.\n\n* You will keep an eye on the latest industry trends and the buzz on social media, looking for creative ways to make the peaqosystem known.\n\n\nBasic Qualifications & Requirements\n\n* Native or native-level command of English (American or British English preferred).\n\n* A proven track record of writing quality PR content — please make sure to provide samples with your application.\n\n* At least 2 years’ worth of experience in PR roles, in-house or in an agency.\n\n* A solid knowledge of the Web3 and tech media landscape.\n\n* A professional understanding of key PR tools and platforms, including Cision, HARO, and Qwoted.\n\n* A good understanding of social media platforms and their role in the PR work.\n\n* A grasp of Web3 basics — we’re not looking for the next Satoshi, but you should know why you can’t download your Bitcoin on a flash drive.\n\n* A deep curiosity for all things tech and an ability to package intricacies of technologies and business models into a compelling story that cuts no corners on either nuance or accessibility.\n\n* Excellent communication and relationship management skills.\n\n* Professionalism, responsibility, and communicability, which become all the more important when working in a remote-first team as distributed as Web3 itself.\n\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience\n\n* An in-depth understanding of Web3 and a passion for its emerging DePIN sector.\n\n* A network of existing contacts among media outlets, influencers, and other people of interest.\n\n* Additional background on editorial roles in Web3 and mainstream tech publications.\n\n* An experience with events, from negotiating panel slots and speaking opportunities to setting up interviews on the go.\n\n* An affinity for spamming parrot emojis on Slack — don’t ask, just do it.\n\n\nBenefits\n\n* Remote first.
