In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, end-to-end features across both frontend and backend systems, ensuring strong engineering standards, testing, and operational readiness.\n\nYou will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, contributing to continuous delivery practices, automation, and platform quality while supporting reliable and scalable digital services.\n\n\n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n* Develop and deliver end-to-end features using React, TypeScript, and .NET/C#\n\n* Build and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable applications and services\n\n* Follow established architecture, coding standards, and design system conventions\n\n* Write and maintain unit and integration tests, contributing to UI/API automation\n\n* Ensure accessibility, performance, and quality standards are met\n\n* Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines, including quality gates such as testing, security scanning, and static analysis\n\n* Implement observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing) to support monitoring and troubleshooting\n\n* Participate in incident resolution and continuous improvement activities\n\n* Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, Architecture, and Operations teams to refine requirements and deliver value\n\n* Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing\n\n* Identify and address technical debt and defects, participating in peer reviews\n\n* Support non-functional requirements, including performance, security, and reliability\n\n* Participate in Agile ceremonies, chapters, and guilds to promote best practices\n\n* Provide out-of-hours support as part of an agreed rota\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n* Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and .NET/C#\n\n* Experience building RESTful APIs and full stack applications\n\n* Solid understanding of frontend frameworks, backend services, and cloud-native patterns\n\n* Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)\n\n* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and DevOps practices\n\n* Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing, with exposure to UI/E2E or contract testing\n\n* Understanding of automation and continuous delivery principles\n\n* Basic knowledge of observability tools, including logging and monitoring\n\n* Experience using JIRA or similar tools for tracking and collaboration\n\n* Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to collaborate and learn\n\n* Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams\n\n\n\n\nNice to Have\n\n* Experience in financial services or regulated environments\n\n* Exposure to advanced CI/CD practices and pipeline optimisation\n\n* Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems\n\n\n\n\nBenefits\n\n* Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter)\n\n* No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words\n\n* Day 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance provided\n\n* Support That Matters:Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared\n\n* True Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valued\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt Smart Working, you’ll never be just another remote hire.\n\nBe a Smart Worker - valued, empowered, and part of a culture that celebrates integrity, excellence, and ambition.\n\nIf that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear your story. \n\n
