This is an opportunity for someone with a solid technical background to make an impact from day 1 by contributing to a variety of different Developer-focussed projects and initiatives, and to learn and expand your skillset by gradually taking up a wider variety of work and more responsibility. Find out more at https://www.synternet.com/\nWe prefer the candidate to be based in Lithuania for easier face-to-face access with your team, however as we're remote-first, you can be based anywhere, as long as you're aligned with European time zones.\nMain responsibilities\nFrom the start of your journey, you will be expected to carry out the following tasks:\n\n* Documentation ownership and regular updates: Take ownership of our documentation, ensuring that it remains comprehensive, up-to-date, and easily accessible to developers and users. Regularly update the documentation to reflect changes in the protocol, new features, and best practices for integration and usage.\n\n* Technical Community Engagement: Interact with developers, builders, and enthusiasts through platforms like Discord (and Telegram). Provide guidance, answer questions, and foster a supportive community environment.\n\n* Public Release notes publication: Compile and publish comprehensive release notes for our public releases.ย \n\n* Open-source advocacy and management of repositories: Work with the engineering team to ensure our preparedness for open sourcing and community participation developing the protocol. This includes documentation, shared naming and contribution policies, and maintaining and managing the open-source repositories associated with Synternet.\n\n\n\nAdditionally, either from the start or gradually, you will work on the tasks and projects below:ย \n\n* Technical Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand the technical intricacies of the public-facing elements of the Data Layer and convey this externally.\n\n* Developer Events: Organize both external and internal developer-focused events such as hackathons, meetups, and Builders Townhalls. These events will foster learning, collaboration, and innovation within the Synternet community.\n\n* External Project Support: Offer support and guidance to developers working on external projects that utilize the Synternet Data Layer, helping them overcome challenges and maximize the potential of our technology.\n\n* Video Tutorials: Create video tutorials that guide developers through various aspects of using the Synternet Data Layer. These tutorials will be valuable resources for both newcomers and experienced users.\n\n* Management of Builders' initiatives: Shape the future of the Synternet Builders program and similar initiatives, which includes reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and nurturing a vibrant community of builders.\n\n* Cooperation with Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to shape messaging and content related to the Synternet Data Layer. Help drive developer engagement through targeted campaigns and initiatives.\n\n* Shaping Protocol for Data Layer: Provide valuable feedback from the developer community to help shape the future direction and features of the Synternet Data Layer.\n\n* Conference / Hackathon Presence: Represent Synternet at blockchain conferences and events, running live workshops, presentations, and networking with developer communities.\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n* 2+ years experience in programming/engineering: Node.js / Golang / Python preferred.ย \n\n* A broad understanding of various technical disciplines and a general passion for technology.\n\n* An interest in Blockchain technology and industry.\n\n* Willingness to learn.\n\n* Self-starter, experienced seeing through projects end-to-end\n\n* Preferred - experience working on an open-source project/technology.\n\n* Preferred - Previous attendee of hackathons etc\n\n* Preferred - previous experience working at a fast-paced technology start-up/company.\n\n\n\nYou get\n\n* The expected salary for this role is 2500-4500 eur/month (gross), but will depend on experience.\n\n* A piece of the Synternet pie - semi-annual cryptocurrency bonuses in NOIA - Synternet's own token.\n\n* An annual budget for your professional & personal development.\n\n* 12 days per year dedicated for your professional development.\n\n* Remote-first environment (youโre still welcome to come to one of our offices, but you choose!)\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
