Daily tasks will include researching events across the US, quantifying the event metrics, providing insights from the data, managing the database of findings, and other ad-hoc requests as needed. This will be 20-30 hours per week and can be flexible around school schedules.\n\n\n\nEssental responsibilities:\n* Data Research\n* Manage a predefined list of events from across the US, researching, collecting and organizing data and information into a digestible format\n* Become familiar with the events industry, including market segments, key players, common terms, and various nuances in event management\n* Uncover unique paths to discover difficult-to-find information and contacts\n* Build formulas in Excel or Google Sheets to provide insights from the data\n* Salesforce.com Data Entry\n* Learn to navigate Salesforce.com CRM\n* Leverage Discover.Org and LinkedIn to capture key event contacts and enter the details into Salesforce.com\n* Create basic Salesforce.com reports to track data progress\n* Build Database of Q&A\n* Document questions and answers for tough data issues\n* Document tricks of the trade for finding information on events\n* Assist the operations team with related tasks and analysis of market data\n* Other Ad-Hoc projects as needed\n\n\n\nRequired skills:\n* Currently working toward bachelors degree\n* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, and ability to learn quickly in new systems\n* Advanced experience using Googleโs search engine and deep navigation of web pages\n* Understanding of basic data management best practices\n* Awareness of project management skills and commitment to timelines\n\n\n\nPersonal characteristics:\n* Reliable\n* Persistent\n* Attention to Detail\n* Strong Organizational Skills\n* Self-motivated\n* Coachable\n* Collaborative\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy work at RainFocus?\nAt RainFocus we delight millions of attendees at large-scale events by delivering better insights, experiences, and marketing.
