You will apply some of the latest technologies to accommodate an ever-growing data need, dealing with data in terms of both logical arrangement as well as infrastructure.\n\nWe value quality work and autonomy, and the goal of our data engineering team is to empower all of our technical team to get things done efficiently and deliver results.\n\nReports To: Director, Data and DevOps Engineering\nAs a Data Engineer at Tango Card, you will:\n\n\n* Demonstrate team ownership of the ELT pipeline domain of work within the engineering organization.\n\n* Analyze data and draw insights, advise other teams on how to best interact with and utilize that data.\n\n* Build automated data validation systems to enforce data standards and ensure accurate information is being sent along the pipelines.\n\n* Explore new data technologies; drive cost/benefit analysis and applicability of options to our data needs.\n\n* Collaborate cross functionally with relevant stakeholders to innovate and improve our processes and output.\n\n\n\nTo be effective in our Data Engineer role, you must have most of the following skills or experience: \n\n\n* 4+ years of technical experience, at least 2 of which are in the data engineering field.\n\n* 1+ years active DBT experience.\n\n* 3+ years hands-on experience with current data platforms & databases (eg: Snowflake, Redshift, or Postgres).\n\n* Skilled at ELT/ETL pipeline processes.\n\n* Knowledge of database technologies and data lake technologies.\n\n* An understanding of cloud based data systems and development environments.\n\n* Skilled in written communication and documentation, including the ability to lead meetings and craft and deliver presentations.\n\n* Ability to form relationships with internal and external business partners and influence to drive success.\n\n* Ability to manage time and meet deadlines, working collaboratively with geographically distributed teams. Agility to adapt with shifting priorities, needs, technologies.
