Do you have an (occasionally) unhinged sense of humor and a passion for creating engaging content? BuzzFeed is looking for a full-time, remote Community Manager to join our team and help cultivate a loyal, thriving community of users. \n\nAs our Community Manager, you'll be the bridge between BuzzFeed and our amazing users. You'll create spaces where the BuzzFeed Community can flourish, both on and off our platform. We're looking for someone who can bring positive vibes, creative ideas, and a deep understanding of what makes online communities tick.\n\nYou Will\n\n\n* Actively solicit and implement feedback from community members to improve user experience\n\n* Develop and execute content strategies to grow and engage our community\n\n* Build and manage community spaces outside of BuzzFeed's main platform\n\n* Create and scale up incentivization programs for community users\n\n* Market community content and tools to increase engagement and retention\n\n* Interact directly with users to foster a sense of belonging and improve their experience\n\n* Track and report on community health metrics, with a focus on loyalty and engagement\n\n* Collaborate cross-functionally with tech, legal, PR, and social teams\n\n\n\n\nYou Have\n\n\n* 2-3+ years of experience in community management or related field\n\n* Proven track record of developing and growing online communities\n\n* Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative community initiatives\n\n* Experience leading and managing other community professionals\n\n* Strong understanding of content strategy and its impact on community growth\n\n* Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt tone for different audiences\n\n* Demonstrated ability to moderate sensitive situations and conflicts between users professionally and effectively\n\n* Comfortable making data-driven decisions and regularly reporting on community metrics \n\n* Passion for improving user experience and fostering loyal audiences\n\n* Familiarity with BuzzFeed's brand voice and community culture\n\n* Experience with subscription or membership-based programs is a plus!\n\n\n\n\nAdditional questions:\n\n\n* If you were given free rein to create a new engagement initiative for BuzzFeed's community, what would it be and why?
