\nOffshore CFO (Multifamily Real Estate) โ Job Description\nOverview\nWe are hiring a CFO to lead the finance and accounting function for a U.S.-based multifamily owner/operator. This role owns\nfinancial statements, monthly close, cash management, budgeting/forecasting, reporting, and controls across multiple\nproperties and entities. The right candidate is tech-forward and excited to modernize finance through automation, AI, and APIdriven integrations.\nKey Responsibilities\nโข Monthly close & financial statements: Own timely, accurate close and delivery of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow\nwith supporting schedules.\nโข Reconciliations & controls: Ensure complete bank/GL reconciliations, AR/AP tie-outs, accruals, prepaids, CIP/fixed\nassets, intercompany, and documented processes.\nโข Management reporting: Produce property/portfolio reporting including budget vs. actual, variance explanations, and\nkey operating KPIs.\nโข Cash management: Maintain daily cash visibility and a rolling 13-week cash forecast; manage payment cadence,\napprovals, reserves, and liquidity planning.\nโข Budgeting & forecasting: Lead annual budgets and reforecasts (revenue, payroll, utilities, repairs, insurance, taxes,\nCapEx).\nโข CapEx / renovation tracking: Track project budgets, spend, and ROI support (CIP and unit-level economics as\napplicable).\nโข Lender / compliance support: Manage covenant reporting, lender deliverables, and coordination with CPAs/tax/audit\nteams.\nโข Section 8 / Housing Authority & municipal compliance: Support affordable housing reporting and compliance (as\napplicable), including coordination with Housing Authorities/cities, audits, and required documentation.\nโข Team leadership: Lead and develop offshore accounting staff (AP/AR/accountants); set SOPs, close calendar, and\nreview standards.\nโข Tech/automation leadership: Implement and optimize workflows using AI tools, automation, and API connections\nacross property management, accounting, reporting, and data pipelines.\n\n\nRequirements (Must-Have)\nโข Minimum 8+ years of experience as a CFO (or senior finance leader) in real estate; multifamily strongly preferred.\nโข Expert in financial statements, close management, reconciliations, cash forecasting, and internal controls.\nโข Strong ability to deliver decision-ready reporting (budget vs. actual, variance analysis, KPIs).\nโข Bilingual proficiency: fluent professional English and Spanish (written and spoken).\nโข Property management software experience; ResMan preferred.\nโข Expense management software experience with Brex or Ramp; Brex preferred.\nโข Experience working with Section 8 programs, Housing Authorities, and municipal/city requirements (as applicable),\nincluding compliance reporting and audit support.\nโข Strong understanding of real estate legal entities and structures (LLCs/LPs/SPVs), intercompany accounting, and\nentity-level reporting.\nโข Tech-forward mindset: comfortable implementing automation/AI and working with APIs/integrations (no coding\nrequired, but must be fluent with modern tools).\nโข Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; comfortable building standardized reporting templates and dashboards.\nโข Ability to work offshore with consistent overlap with U.S. business hours and days (ET/CT preferred).\n\nPreferred\nโข Multi-entity consolidation, lender compliance/covenants, and renovation-heavy portfolios.\nโข Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau) and modern AP/bill pay tools.\n\nWorking Model\nโข Remote / Offshore (LATAM preferred for timezone overlap)\nโข Reports to Ownership/CEO/Managing Partner; partners closely with Operations and Asset Management
