\nMid Weight Drupal Developer (remote first) Job Description\n\nWe are looking for a Drupal Developer to work on a range of CMS and web applications projects for midsize to enterprise clients including well-known brands such as WaterAid, BAFTA, National Grid, National Youth Theatre, University of Central Lancashire, Stagecoach Bus, and Wave Utilities.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have some experience of working in a team environment with 2+ years of commercial experience as a Drupal specialist working across frontend, backend or full-stack disciplines.\n\nYou’ll be working in a dedicated build squad and working remotely - so being a self-starter and highly motivated is essential.\n\nThe Mid Weight Drupal Developer will be responsible for developing on larger projects, led by Senior Developers and Technical Leads, with professional development opportunities to take on smaller projects from start to finish.\n\nDrupal Developer responsibilities & duties\n\nYour focus will be predominantly on either backend or frontend development but the versatility to support the full-stack would be a plus.\n\n\n* \n\nProducing high-quality solutions that help clients achieve their goals.\n\n\n* \n\nParticipating in briefing sessions, contributing to writing technical specifications and estimates.\n\n\n* \n\nContinuous development of your area of expertise (JS and/or PHP).\n\n\n* \n\nAssisting and contributing to projects being led by Senior Developers and Technical Leads.\n\n\n* \n\nContribute to sprint demos, retrospectives, and planning meetings. Communicate your technical approach at an appropriate level, for mixed audiences, including clients.\n\n\n\n\n\nDrupal Developer qualifications and skills\n\n\n* \n\n3+ years on-the-job experience of commercial web development, preferably JS/PHP based.\n\n\n* \n\n2+ years experience working as a specialist with Drupal.\n\n\n* \n\n2+ years experience with version control systems (preferably Git) and team workflows.\n\n\n* \n\nComfortable working full stack when needed (you will have Frontend/Backend specialists in your team).\n\n\n* \n\nStrong teamwork and communication skills.\n\n\n\n\n\nDesirable qualifications and skills\n\n\n* \n\nDrupal 8, Acquia or JS/PHP certification.\n\n\n* \n\nExperience with Git for version control.\n\n\n* \n\nBroader experience (or the desire) of working with frameworks such as React, Gatsby, or Larvel.\n\n\n* \n\nA Software Engineering, Computer Science Degree, or a relevant apprenticeship qualification.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Tech Stack\n\nAt Access we are a Drupal first agency, however, we are keen on innovation and using the right tools for the right job.
