\nCan you build a mobile user experience that will save kids’ lives? We’re expanding UNICEF Kid Power with new retail-ready consumer wearable platform. The experience will be delivered as missions in a mobile app. Think: game design connecting online missions to the real world.\n\nThere’s incredible momentum – Lucasfilm has selected Kid Power as a Star Wars: Force For Change partner and a major retailer is engaged in getting the product to families this holiday season.\n\nWe’re seeking an iOS developer to build the mobile app experience. \n\nABOUT THIS POSITION\n\nYou will be a core member of the team and supported by some amazing people. Your primary responsibility will be building the iOS app interface, and you will work closely with another developer, who is responsible for backend functionality including Bluetooth sync capabilities.\n\nDepending on the person and fit, this could be a permanent hire (our preference) or a 6-month contract position (if you prefer).\n\nYou should be comfortable working with a remote team and sharing incremental work. \n\nMain responsibilities: \n\n\n* Build iOS app user interface in Objective-C, including flexible UIs, mission map, and more\n\n* Handle needed API interactions in conjunction with our web developers\n\n\n\n\nDesired attributes: \n\n\n* Experience building polished, beautiful apps and/or games using Objective-C\n\n* Experience building apps in multi-person teams\n\n* Mission alignment with Calorie Cloud / UNICEF\n\n\n\n\nInterested? Please email and tell us a bit about yourself: why are you interested in this project? What prior iOS apps have you built, and what specific role did you have in building the UI? Applications that do not include app samples or an expression of personal interest may not be considered. \n\nFor more information, please visit:\n\n\n* http://caloriecloud.org\n\n* http://unicefkidpower.org\n\n* http://www.starwars.com/force-for-change\n\n\n\n\nAnd feel free to ask us any questions as well – you can always get in touch at [email protected].
