\nWe are currently seeking a Systems Engineer, Production to join our rapidly expanding team. This role can be performed from one of our offices (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto) or remotely (Canada-wide). \n\nFounded in Vancouver, Canada in 2008, Clio is transforming the practice of law, for good. Whether it's our industry-leading cloud-based practice management platform, our legal client relationship management (CRM), our ground-breaking Legal Trends Report or our ever-popular Clio Cloud Conference, Clio is at the forefront of advancing the legal sphere. With the help of the cloud, we make lawyers’ lives simpler and help them better organize and manage their legal practices. As one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies with international reach, we employ over 400 individuals with a rapidly growing customer base spanning 90 countries. Clio has been recognized as one of CIX’s Top 20 Most Influential Technology Companies, one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for three years in a row, and has one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures. Additionally, for the last two years, we have been recognized on Deloitte's Fast50 Fast500 lists and were awarded Tech Culture of the Year and one of Canada's Best Managed Companies in 2019.\n\nWho you are:\n\n\n* You are a self-starting and self-governing learner and worker who is adept at breaking down intractable problems into achievable pieces and iterating on them.\n\n* You are curious by nature and love to dig deep on problems, always asking “Why?”.\n\n* You communicate in a clear and concise manner, regardless of medium (text, voice, and in-person).\n\n* You are a rational and critical thinker, with an inclination for evidence-based decision making.\n\n* You have strong opinions that are weakly held.\n\n* You have a team-first mentality and will naturally step in to support co-workers when you perceive them to be in difficulty.\n\n\n\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\n\n\n* You will be creating, improving, and maintaining a globally distributed mesh of Clio service regions that acts as a foundation for each of our clients across the world to excel within their respective jurisdictions.\n\n* You will be nurturing and evolving the development ecosystem at Clio by providing the tools, infrastructure, and services that our developers rely on to transform the practice of law, for good.\n\n* You’ll be recognizing opportunities for process improvement or automation and then writing clean, maintainable code in order to erase the manual task or nullify the pain point.\n\n\n\n\nWhat you should have:\n\nThis is not a check-list to be satisfied. If you have experience or interest in some of these areas, we’d love to hear from you and encourage you to apply.\n\n\n* Experience writing clean, maintainable code in collaboration with other developers.\n\n* Experience building and administering Debian GNU/Linux hosts using automated image build and configuration management tools.\n\n* Experience building and deploying containerized services using an orchestration system.\n\n* Experience administering cloud resources on the common cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) using automated resource configuration and provisioning tools.\n\n\n\n\nSerious bonus points if you have:\n\n\n* Experience managing hosts with Puppet.\n\n* Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\n* Experience developing with Ruby or GoLang.\n\n* Experience managing AWS resources with CloudFormation.\n\n* Experience scripting with BASH.\n\n* Experience administering any of: Elasticsearch, Kafka, MySQL, Redis.\n\n\n\n\nWhy Clio?\n\nWe could talk to you about our ping pong table, beer taps, yoga classes, and nap room, but, we know you’re looking for more than that. Instead, here are a few of the things that set us apart and make us the employer of choice for top talent in Canada and beyond:\n\n\n* The chance to do work that matters on a product that truly changes lives. This is the place for driven people who want to make their mark.\n\n* The freedom to choose your own path (and change it) to build a meaningful career that works for you.\n\n* Excellent health and dental coverage, vacation time, parental leave options and education spending\n\n* An RRSP matching program\n\n* Regular games nights and team outings with the best co-workers you’ll ever work with\n\n\n\n\nDiversity and Inclusion\n\nWe believe that ensuring diversity and inclusion will produce a better place to work and a better product. We encourage all candidates to apply. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on previous jobs related to Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n

👉 Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Remote OK accepts no liability or responsibility as a consequence of any reliance upon information on there (external sites) or here.
