We are looking for a partner, a team-player, and a leader to drive the vision behind our technology and to run a team of ultra capable coders. \n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for both a seasoned CTO who wants to participate in a startup with strong upside or a driven up-and-comer who wants to take a career leap.\n\n*Technical requirements*\n5+ Years experience in CTO, Architect or Technology Leadership role\nComputer Science BSC and/or Masters.\nSoftware development background, including full SDLC\nAgile Development Experience including TDD (Test Driven)\nJava or other Object Oriented Language (C++, C#, Scala, etc)\nStrong understand of Operating System Fundamentals\nExperience with TCP/IP low level applications protocols\nC/C++ experience on Linux and specifically Kernel development a bonus\nExperience with NOSQL databases such as Hadoop, Cassandra, MongoDB\nExperience with Machine Learning algorithms, recommendation engines a bonus (http://mahout.apache.org/ for example) a bonus\n\n*General requirements*\nAble to code and to manage devops\nExperience with cloud based deployments, clustered environments\nMust be able to work on a tight budget\nMust be able to work with distributed teams\nStrong leadership skills\n\nLocation: preferably Los Angeles, open to candidates across the world.\n\nCompensation: competitive with a significant equity stake \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
