Here are just some of the things you should be handy with:\n\nWorking with auditors in multi-period audits and ongoing completion of schedules for quarterly and year end audit work.\n\nPreparing and processing all month-end close related journal entries including detailed analysis to ensure critical reserves and accruals are appropriately stated.\n\nPreparing monthly and/or quarterly account reconciliations and related analysis for review.\n\nCommunicating activity in balance sheet accounts discovered through research and analysis of account reviews and reconciliations.\n\nTaking a lead role in a special project to identify issues and corrective actions needed for complex critical balance sheet accounts.\n\nUpdating and/or developing policies & procedures as needed.\n\nDeveloping solid processes and defining key reconciliations that can be easily transitioned to staff accountants.\n\nManaging outsourced staffing firms.\n\nA minimum of four to seven years related experience is preferred, including a minimum of five years in an accounting related role.ย At least two years at a public accounting firm is strongly preferred.\n\nBase Technical Competencies / Qualities:\n\nCPA preferred but not required, with suitable experience.\n\nStrong base knowledge in the practice and application of US GAAP.\n\nExperience working with popular general ledger systems.\n\nAbility to analyze large quantities of complex data and research accounting data through sub-ledgers and the GL and draw logical conclusions.\n\nStrong understanding of multi-relational impact of transactions on the Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow Statement.\n\nAbility to create, post, and research complex journal entries impacting numerous entities.\n\nBasic understanding of how multi-entity consolidation works, as well as how foreign currency is involved and treated in a consolidation.\n\nExperience with SOX and control testing a plus.\n\nStrong history of success in a fast paced ever-changing dynamic environment.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communications skills.\n\nFlexible roll-up-your sleeves, hands-on attitude.\n\nIf this feels like you, apply!
