\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n* Collaborate with a strong team of Designers, Developers, and Marketer to build, refine, test, and debug new and existing features \n\n* Solve complex problems related to front-end web development and provide accurate estimates and scope for team deliverables \n\n* Help the company improve development standards and processes \n\n* Contribute ideas to project planning \n\n* Participate in company strategy and product roadmap meetings\n\n\n\nWHAT WOULD MAKE US LOVE YOU\n\n\n* Have a background as a lead software engineer or technical management\n\n* Work experience with MeteorJS, NodeJS, and/or Mongo \n\n* Involvement in MeteorJS, NodeJS, and/or Mongo open source projects \n\n* Engineering experience in a growing B2B SaaS company, and/or web apps that have had to scale. \n\n* An interest in ops, perhaps with monitoring tools, Chef, AWS, and Opsworks \n\n* Engineering experience with real-time live updating apps \n\n* Experience with the Twitter and Facebook APIs \n\n* Have implemented and run scrum teams before, either as Scrum Master or something similar\n\n* Knowledge of basic DevOps tools, or experience working with DevOps teams.\n\n* Have grown and led engineering teams of 5+ people, ideally in a startup or high performing software environment\n\n\n\nLOCATION\n\nToronto – Halifax - Remote (experience working remote is preferred) \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
