SnowShoe is hiring a lead developer to take ownership of our software stack and to direct technology development for the company.\n\nWe have a variety of interesting and unique problems to work on. This is truly a "full stack" opportunity. At SnowShoe, you'll oversee the mathematical modeling work involved in designing and recognizing our tags, scale up our RESTful services architecture, build cool demos, and work alongside our customers to implement real-world pilot deployments of SnowShoe tags.\n\nYou must be technically proficient, but, more importantly, you must be the type of person that will deliver on the promises you make to the company. You must be able to communicate effectively with your team members. You must be comfortable talking about both successes and failures. You must be capable of collaborating with people less technically proficient than yourself. You must be obsessed with moving this company forward.\n\nOur stack currently includes core components that use Python, Django, JavaScript, and PostgreSql. Experience with these technologies is certainly a plus. But we are confident that any competent engineer will come up to speed in our environment quickly. We are looking for an engineer who will be confident evolving and extending this stack over the long term, making new technology choices as necessary, and building tools that other developers love using.\n\nWe are based in San Francisco, though your long-time location could be San Francisco, Madison (Wisconsin), Los Angeles, or anywhere else that makes you happy and effective. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
