\nSr. Python Engineer\nGorilla Logic is working with our client, who is an industry leader in providing secured shared storage, to help build their team of highly intelligent and capable engineers. We are looking for Senior Python Engineers. This is a unique and highly technical role, and requiring strong object oriented development experience. As a Sr. Python Engineer, you’ll be using your systems programming expertise to deliver a world-class secure shared storage platform. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination. \n \nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Develop systems code in Python\n\n* Develop unit tests for all production code\n\n* Work as part of a team developing system architecture\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)\n\n* 5+ years of development experience in an object oriented language such as Python, Java, C++ or C# is required\n\n* Experience with Python development\n\n* 2+ years of experience with relational database systems like MySQL or MariaDB\n\n* Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Tornado, JSON, Fuse or ZeroMQ\n\n* Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB a plus\n\n* Experience with storage including Samba is a big plus\n\n* Experience with directory technologies like LDAP and AD a plus\n\n* Experience developing and consulting REST APIs a plus\n\n* You stay up-to-date with the modern technologies and best practices\n\n* You have a strong desire to both share with and learn from others\n\n* You are passionate about writing clean, maintainable code and willing to work to a coding standard\n\n* Aptitude to independently learn new technologies\n\n* Good communicator with peers\n\n* Able to work productively without constant supervision\n\n\n\n\nThe Details\n\n\n* Contract or full time employment - you chose!
