We are looking for a copywriter to draft our car listings, ads, and blog posts with style and humor. The writer will create short summaries describing our cars, which must achieve two things: (1) clearly explain the vehicles and their features, and present compelling imagery of what the customer experience will be; (2) they must be entertaining to read and free of marketing clichés. Copywriters inject creative, humorous quips that make reading car listings a delight! Listings will include informative selling points that range from the straightforward to the whimsical, shooting for vivid description rooted in complete transparency and embellished with well-crafted absurdities.\n\nExperience is a plus, but not necessarily required if you have compelling samples. We'll work with anyone who can write succinctly, persuasively, and intelligently. Shift writers are held not only to a high quality standard, but must also show a willingness and ability to generate a high volume of copy on a daily basis - we are growing rapidly!\n\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n- Write short, snappy descriptions of cars that are in line with the Shift voice and tone\n\n- Aid with the copy on any Shift ads / marketing materials\n\n- Draft blog posts\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n- Solid writing experience – Groupon copywriting (or the like) are particularly encouraged to apply\n\n- Passion, enthusiasm, and love of cars is a plus, but not required\n\n- A sharp and witty sense of humor that shines through in writing\n\n- A desire to be involved with an entrepreneurial company\n\n- Talent, plain and simple\n\n- Bachelor’s degree – Journalism or English preferred, but not required\n\n- We are interviewing for a part-time and a full-time role \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
