As a key player on our world-class implementation team, the Senior Technical Consultant will contribute and participate as a team member and provide technical leadership on high profile, complex data center automation, private and hybrid cloud implementation projects.\n\n- Provide technical direction and leadership to less senior team members\n- Develop trusted relationships with project team members, customers and prospects\n- Analyze customers business and functional requirements and develop cost effective, creative technical solutions to fulfill requirements\n- Customize off the shelf software in support of project goals and requirements\n- Develop code as needed to fulfill project objectives\n- Stage reference architectures, prototypes and demos in lab environments\n- Install off the shelf software in customers environments in preparation for implementation projects\n- Wear multiple hats as needed in a dynamic, fast moving startup environment\n- Participate in evaluation of new automation tools\n- Billable 80-85%\n -50-75% travel to customer and prospect sites as needed\n\nDesired Skills & Experience\n\n2-5 years experience in development, implementation and integration of leading cloud implementation tools, including VMWare Cloud Suite (VCAC, VCO), OpenStack, Puppet or Chef\n\n2 -5 years experience implementing technical solutions in support of data center automation and private cloud business processes, listed as follows: catalog management, workflow, chargeback, provisioning (OS, application, storage, database and network), governance and compliance\n\nAbility to articulate how technical solutions can solve business problems of datacenter automation\n\nStrong delivery skills, including consistent completion of successful milestones and projects\n\nDemonstrated success as an implementer in an externally facing consulting environment\n\nSelf-starter, ability to work unsupervised\n\nDegree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience\n\nRight to work in the United States \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
