\nElastic is building out our Elastic Cloud Team focusing on Elasticsearch as a Service. The product is largely developed in Scala, and this is a great opportunity to help with our Cloud efforts using your Scala expertise.\n\nOur cloud product allows users to create new clusters or expand existing ones easily This product would be built on technologies such as AWS, Docker, and others to enable the Operations Teams to easily create and manage multiple Elastic Clusters.\n\nJob Duties and Requirements\n\n\n* Develop software in Scala for our distributed systems and ES as a Service offerings.\n\n* Help build the Cloud offering and work closely with the Elastic Cloud Product and Engineering Team\n\n* Assist in designing a scalable cloud offering working across multiple clusters\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\n* CS or MS Degree in Computer Science\n\n* 2+ years expertise in Scala\n\n* 5+ years of development experience\n\n* Experience or familiarity with Docker, Azure, GCP, or AWS or other distributed systems\n\n* Extensive experience designing solutions for the server side of scalable cloud software applications and platforms\n\n* Experience or ability to respond to operational issues\n\n* A self starter who with experience working across multiple technical teams and decision makers\n\n* Ability to work with a worldwide team in a distributed work environment\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\n* Competitive pay, medical, dental, vision, disability, benefits\n\n* Catered lunches, snacks, and beverages (California office only)\n\n* An environment in which you can balance great work with a great life\n\n* Passionate people building great products\n\n* Employees with a wide variety of interests\n\n* Your age is only a number.
