\nOur innovation team is building a new web app that has a lot of growth potential, and solves a huge pain in the market in a brand new way. Additional details about this exciting opportunity will be shared during the interview process. Here is some of what you can expect if you join our team:\n\n\n* Lean Start-up. We are discovering as we go what delights our users and leads to sustained growth. Lean start-up principles allow us to quickly and iteratively validate/invalidate assumptions about users.\n\n* Product Ownership. As engineer #2 on the team, you will build the product from scratch, including MVP’s along the way.\n\n* Cross-functional Collaboration. Product Management, Design, and Development all happen from the same small team, so there is no space for decisions made in silos.\n\n* Autonomy. We all have a lot of control over how they collaborate, communicate, and generally work.\n\n* Agility. We practice scrum, work in sprints, calculate velocity, do code reviews and rely on Continuous Integration.\n\n* Location Independence. Remote work is built into our company and team DNA.\n\n* Craftsmanship. We are committed to becoming better at our craft.\n\n* Stewardship. We are big proponents of open source, use it a lot, and give back to the community wherever we can.\n\n\n\n\nOur fledgling codebase is being built in Ruby on Rails and React, with a high standard of code quality and excellent test coverage. We take a detailed approach to system architecture and documentation and work to make the code base something you enjoy working with and are proud of. We avoid overly complex methods and classes, and prefer an OO approach to using conditionals. We follow Ruby-community best practices, encourage code consistency with Rubocop, and encourage/elicit improvements to standards and processes. You have a voice, experience, and passion and we want to hear it.\n\nWhat’s in it for you\n\n\n* Competitive Pay. We hire excellent people and reward them accordingly.\n\n* Flexible Work Hours. If you work better evenings than mornings, that’s fine by us!\n\n* Work remotely within the U.S.\n\n* Great benefits. Health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, HSA, life and disability insurance\n\n* Parties! We can fly you out for our company-wide summer BBQ and holiday parties.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

๐ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site.
