Building a software platform that is reliable, scales and stays agile under demanding product needs is a serious technical challenge. Postmates isn’t just another ad platform or mobile app for delivering static user generate content. We have real customers paying real money for a real service, all under an hour. You do not want to explain to your hungry friends why they couldn’t get their Little Star pizza delivered last night because the database failed.\n\n\nAs a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the day to day technical operations of the Postmates platform. You’ll be responsible for responding to failures to reduce the impact to our customers and couriers. You’ll all also be responsible for designing and implementing the monitoring and availability for our core platform to ensure we don’t have any failures to begin with.\n\nOur platform is currently running on Amazon Web Services.
