About Apptimize:\n\nLocated in Silicon Valley, Apptimize is revolutionizing mobile apps by letting app owners customize apps live, with zero coding and no re-deployment. We provide an end-to-end solution for mobile product managers and app owners to edit any element of an app and evaluate its effectiveness though A/B testing. A Y Combinator startup, our investors include Google Ventures, Merus Capital and other top investors. Founded in 2013, our small team includes 6 MIT alumni, 3 ex-Googlers, 1 Wharton MBA, 1 MIT Masters in CS, 1\nCMU CS alum, and 1 “20 under 20” Thiel fellow. Candidates often remark we’re the strongest team they’ve ever seen: http://apptimize.com/company/team/.\n\nOur mission is to raise the bar when it comes to the mobile experience and invent technologies critical to every app.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nWhile we play by the rules, we’re often working on the less documented, adventurous parts of iOS. Be prepared to be a master of the dark corners of Objective-C.\n\nYou will be working with engineers who’ve single handedly invented tools used by tens of millions of developers around the world. You will not hesitate to dig in and figure things out. You enjoy reverse engineering and have a sense for good design.\n\nYour work on our iOS SDK will be installed on billions of app installs and have a direct impact on revenue, so it needs to do no harm. You care about the details.\n\n\nOur mission is to raise the bar when it comes to the mobile experience and invent technologies critical to every app.\n\nAbout the Role:\nWe process millions of events per second per server. The load fluctuates wildly throughout the day and can suddenly increase permanently when a new user deploys our SDK. We want your help to scale. We use Postgres, Java, and AWS in the back and our infrastructure is cutting edge.\n\nWhat you'll do:\n* build out new functionality for both incremental improvements and new products\n* attack scaling issues\n* recommend and implement best tools/tech for the job\n\nWho you are:\n* super smart\n* pragmatic\n* strategic\n* happy to tackle hard problems but also love searching for simple solutions \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
