We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Leader to join us on this mission as our VP of Software Engineering. You will report directly to StockXโs Chief Technology Officer and become part of the Technology Executive Team.\n\nThe successful candidate will be a visionary thinker, be able to bridge business impact to technology, capable of leading a large, sophisticated global technology platform and interacting with the most senior levels of management. Given the emphasis on talent development, the candidate will also have a passion for managing and developing people. The candidate will possess a high degree of business acumen and must have a โreal worldโ perspective in order to effectively interact with the operating leaders across the company.\n\nThis role spans various demand-side core growth charters which includes Marketing, Checkout, Search and Relevance. Experience in refactoring the codebase coherently over a multi-year journey is a plus. You will be expected to dive deep into assumptions and guide your team through the software architecture across the full stack. Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity of the problem scope is required. You will also be adept at making business and engineering tradeoffs on when/where to refactor, and align it with the businessโ needs and customer experience. Eventually, your impact should be felt at the company level itself in enabling revenue growth and cost optimization, through technology.\n\nWhat you'll do\n\n\nEstablish and maintain the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to decompose the architecture.\n\nDrive implementation forward whilst enabling the business scaling vectors. \n\nAbility to make risk-based business oriented decisions and ability to execute them is also important.\n\nBe a trusted adviser for StockXโs executive team on a broad range of topics related to Software Architecture\n\nBuild partnerships with peers across Product Development, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Privacy, and others to accomplish joint projects. \n\nBe a security thought leader in the Cloud and SaaS space.\n\n\n\n\nAbout you\n\n\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nAbility to maintain a high level of discretion and personal integrity in the exercise of duties, including the ability to professionally address confidential matters.\n\nAbility to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the group's knowledge of, and concerns for, business, legal and regulatory requirements.\n\nProven experience leading global teams, projects and implementations.\n\nKnowledge of operating in a complex, global environment.\n\nAbility to coach, motivate and develop careers of others within a global team.\n\n\n\n\nTechnical Qualifications\n\n\nDemonstrated hands-on experience in eCommerce marketplaces (Sr. Director or above)\n\nDemonstrated experience building and growing teams including coaching and managing performance at an executive level.\n\nExperience in working with vendor software and decision points on build vs buy balancing risk and time to market\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
