Officioโs Enterprise solution serves numerous governments with their e-filing, processing, and workflow needs.\n\nWe are currently looking to fill the position of Government Relations Officer. This is a contract-based, remote position. \n\n\n\n\nPosition Purpose:\n\nUnder the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Government Relations Officer will interact with local, provincial, federal, and international bodies and government agencies to initiate, grow, and maintain Officio Enterpriseโs business plans and interests. The successful candidate will be a highly reputable, diplomatic, and charismatic individual who has extensive experience working with various levels of government both within Canada and internationally.\n\n\n\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n* Research and monitor government activities that could afford opportunities for Officio Enterprise.\n* Assist senior management with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the immigration industry.\n* Build and maintain professional relationships with members of the local, provincial, federal, and international government bodies and agencies.\n* Join immigration industry committees and seek leadership roles.\n* Collaborate with immigration industry advocates to build areas of common interest.\n* Testify before government committees in support of Officio and/or the immigration industry.\n* Introduce legislative and public policy changes that will support Officioโs operations. \n* Perform other duties, as assigned. \n\n\n\nMinimum Experience Required:\n\n* Minimum of 10 years of government-related work experience. \n* A proven track record of working with various levels of government and producing constructive, collaborative results.\n* Prior experience working with government procurement departments.\n* Prior experience responding to Requests\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Education:\n\n* Bachelorโs Degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Relations, or a related field required; MBA or law degree preferred.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities:\n\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n* Strong ability to communicate across a range of diverse cultures and government structures.\n* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.\n* Strong government contacts at local, provincial, federal, and international levels.\n* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n* Strong diplomacy abilities.\n* Proven self-starter with strong self-management skills.\n* Strong organizational skills.\n* Ability to respond to RFPs.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLanguage(s):\n\n* Fluency in English (verbal and written).\n* Fluency/familiarity in other languages is an asset.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWorking Environment:\n\n* This position is remote, with some domestic and international travel.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\n* Very competitive compensation.\n* All equipment necessary to fill the role will be provided.\n* Paid travel expenses, including flights, hotel, and meals.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOfficio is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
