If you love to learn, love to be challenged, and are looking for a high-growth company with a startup culture, then look no further.\n\nWhat will you do at Splash?\n\nWork with engineering teams to design and implement cloud database infrastructure following best practices and industry standards utilizing AWS cloud technologies & services.\nMaintain and enhance existing database security and monitoring solutions.\nAdhering to best practices in securely storing, backing up, and archiving data.\nSafeguarding existing data against unauthorized access.\nPerform regular database disaster recovery tasks.\nPerform database tuning and optimization.\nProvide guidance and assistance with performance issues related to database usage.\nIdentify areas of potential concern and proactively address these with the process stakeholders, including suggested alternatives in process, and the creation of repeatable maintenance tasks.\n\nWhat makes you a good fit?\n\nA minimum of 5 years experience in database engineering.\nIn-depth knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).\nStrong knowledge and experience with database design, performance tuning, query optimization, and indexes.\nProficient in one or more programming languages (preferably python) and develops automation to deploy and maintain systems.\nExperience with Cloud Databases and Cloud Data Pipeline technologies \nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nExperience working with Postgres and MySQL. Microsoft SQL Server experience a plus.\n\nWhat makes you stand out as a candidate?\nHands-on working knowledge of AWS Databases such as RDS, Aurora, DocumentDB.\nExperience with Terraform or other infrastructure ‘as code’ tooling\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects.\nAbility to influence and drive consensus on multiple technical views.\n2+ years of experience with core AWS platform architecture\nProven expertise in building automation solutions using any scripting language.\n\nEmployment at Splash is based on individual merit.
