Leaf Logistics is hiring a
Remote Enterprise Account Executive
We are Leaf\n\nLeaf is on a mission to upend the way companies buy and sell transportation. Every year, billions of dollars, hundreds of megatons of carbon and millions of person-hours are wasted because the companies who ship goods and the companies who carry them arenโt upfront about their needs and abilities. Our platform finds ways for buyers and sellers to contract binding commitments for plannable and predictable freight and allows those contracts to be traded when needs change. In time, Leaf will become the hub through which the trillion-dollar American freight market is managed.\n\nWe are a team of experienced, smart, and mildly disagreeable troublemakers who like taking on unreasonably big challenges; we know how to build things, weโve lived whatโs broken in this industry, and weโre looking for bright, ambitious people to help us drag the transportation world kicking and screaming into the 21st century.\n\nย What does the Enterprise Account Executive do?\n\nThe problems we solve every day require creativity, grit, and determination. We are building a team that challenges norms while fostering experimentation and personal growth. We are hiring tenacious sales professionals who are energized by the vision to simplify and transform one of the largest and most complex industries through technology, data and a strong commitment to customers.\n\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Build and close a robust pipeline of aligned Enterprise customers across the procurement and supply chain ecosystem.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Develop a keen sense of prospectsโ pain points, think creatively on how to position and pitch Leafโs technology to meet them where they are.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Apply exceptional sales presentation planning and execution to rigorously identify, qualify, and close new customers.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Close deals through their entirety, while working in conjunction with teammates from Analytics, Product, Customer Success, Operations and Finance groups.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Run experiments to optimize pipeline development and deal closure with the ability to pivot based on results & successes.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย In partnership with Customer Success, facilitate a smooth transition and onboarding experience for new customers.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Embody Leafโs core values of trust, transparency and ownership as we build the future of transportation.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Handle objections and engage prospects. Identify key decision makers at target customers and initiate sales communication.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Leaf platform, transportation industry and industry trends.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to thrive and have a great time in a fast-paced, hard-working, yet casual startup environment.\n\n\nWho makes a great Enterprise Account Executive?\n\nYou have extensive enterprise-level sales experience, specifically with prospecting and closing Fortune 1000 companies. You are savvy at targeting and building strategic relationships across multiple levels of prospective organizations. And most importantly, you are eager and ready to develop a mastery of Leafโs proprietary platform and showcase your ability to convey its benefits and abilities to the outside world.\n\nAdditionally, it's helpful if you have:\n\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Minimum of 5 yearsโ experience in a client-facing and/or Enterprise sales capacity, supporting Procurement and/or Manufacturers and Distributors decision makers with a documented track record of exceptional performance.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Ideally, experience with enterprise-level selling at technology and/or software companies.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Strong understanding of the domestic supply chain ecosystem, as well as the needs and pain points of strategic and operational buyer personas across the industry.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Entrepreneurial drive and prior experience in a startup environment.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Thoughtful, insightful and thorough sales presentation planning and execution.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Proficiency with CRM, sales pipeline management, and Sales enablement tools.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Self-motivated and can hit the ground running in prospecting, managing and qualifying new customers.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in dynamic environments and distill new insights to iterate rapidly.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Love to develop and foster relationships and enjoy interpersonal interactions.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Communicate clearly and concisely, especially when it comes to complicated topics. You can break it down into simple terms people can understand.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Youโre an overachiever. You never quit, never take no for an answer, and are unrelenting in driving successful outcomes.ย \nยทย ย ย ย ย ย Consummate team player, able to wear multiple hats, and assist team members when needed.\nยทย ย ย ย ย ย A sense of humor and a readiness to use it liberally.\n\nWho doesnโt?\nย \nWhat weโre trying to do is hard, because weโre asking for big changes from people who are usually very comfortable doing things the way theyโve always been done. There is a lot of frustration, and itโs easy to put a lot of work into something that doesnโt bear fruit. But weโre here to put a big dent in a gigantic industry, something weโll all be proud of a decade from now. Weโre also a startup. Priorities change all the time, somethingโs always on fire, and thereโs twice as much work to do as hands to do it. Its uncomfortable, new challenges surface constantly, and that means itโs up to you to manage how you spend your time in the midst of conflicting priorities.\nย \nWeโre well-funded, with advisors and investors whoโve built legendary companies. But weโre also deploying that capital aggressively, so you should expect uncertainty and discomfort. If the above sounds daunting, youโre a perfectly sound and reasonable person who probably wonโt fit in at Leaf. If this strikes you as an exhilarating environment, well, letโs talk.\n\n#LI-Remote\n\nCompensation\n\nLeaf offers a very comprehensive compensation package including competitive base salary, variable compensation and health benefits.\nย \nLeaf Logistics is an equal-opportunity employer and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If youโre a passionate team player who wants to have an outsized impact on a diverse and dynamic team, weโd love to hear from you! \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
