Remote Director Sales Strategy & Operations
The Team Youโll Work With\n\nThe GTM Strategy & Operations team partners with Sales & Marketing leaders to drive Cartaโs revenue strategy and best-in class execution.\n\nThe team mandate is to help drive revenue and optimize efficiency across the revenue customer lifecycle. The team owns end-to-end GTM strategy and execution, as well as the reporting and operational foundation, for Carta to continuously scale and grow. \n\nIn this vital GTM leadership role, youโll own and optimize the sales operations foundation and strategy to enable Sales & Customer Success to scale. You will work closely with our CRO, GTM Leadership, Business Systems (IT), Data (Eng), Finance, and HR to define, build, and scale a world class operations foundation.\nThe Problems Youโll Solve\n\n\nOwn all sales operations activities including business systems and tools, sales process and policies, coverage model/territory planning, sales data & reporting, field operations, business planning, and deal/order operations\n\nEnable sales execution and scale for our fast-growing sales team, by building and developing strategies with Sales and Customer Success leadership\n\nDrive ambitious goals to develop new systems/data architecture, automations, integrations, and best practices that will create a step change in our sales productivity\n\nProactively drive continuous improvement for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies\n\nDevelop end-to-end sales process and oversee governance of all sales policies across a global sales team; run routine audits to verify compliance at all levels; maintain key documentation regarding our policies and sale processes\n\nEnable sales reporting and analytics. Deliver insights into performance and activities\n\nBuild and own the strategic roadmap and implementation of sales technology tools. Own and administer all sales systems, including SFDC, Outreach, etc\n\nPartner with Business Systems (IT), Data (Eng), and Finance to build and optimize key system integrations and all related processes\n\nSupport sales planning and budgeting process. Help ensure CRO org goals are consistently aligned with company and GTM strategy\n\nDrive operational effectiveness by leveraging industry best practices and design process, tool, and dashboard improvements to scale our high-growth business\n\nChampion, exemplify, and embed Cartaโs operating principles (we act as owners, solve problems, bias to action, seek to simplify) as we scale \n\nHire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team\n\n\n\nAbout You\n\n\n12+ years experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or sales strategy, with progressively increasing responsibility, complexity, and scale of work. 6+ years people management. BS in systems/engineering, MBA, Fintech/SaaS experience a plus\n\nDemonstrable ability to recruit, hire, develop and retain top-tier diversified talent. Experience leading a team during a period of high growth in a performance-oriented culture is preferred\n\nStrategic, structured thinker. Strong analytical skills and business acumen. Aptitude for framing business questions with data, translating business needs into strategies, and bias to action and process improvements\n\nResults driven self starter with the ability to multitask. Skilled at analyzing, prioritizing, and solving complex problems effectively and consistently\n\nYou are effective and adaptable in an unstructured, ambiguous environment requiring new perspectives, creative approaches, and competing deadlines\n\nProven track record of leading change management, building aligned tooling, and developing methods to execute with urgency on projects both big and small, with an ownership mentality. \n\nEffective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to communicate the right level of information to executives and cross-functional teams at the right cadence. Ability to communicate data into meaningful insight\n\nYou love partnering. You get that organizations are made up of very different parts. You influence others and co-pilot cross-team initiatives. Willingness to be a hands-on leader\n\nProject management whiz. Ability to scope a complex project, decompose it into parts, negotiate priorities across organizations at all levels, and execute against a work plan. You communicate deliverables regularly and avoid preventable fire drills\n\nProcess & systems guru. Passion to build elegant and robust processes, and scalable systems for a fast-growing, continuously changing sales org. Extensive experience creating a world class SFDC experience for front-line reps through executives\n\nDemonstrable experience in using data-driven insights to improve sales productivity and performance, including owning the analysis, defining objectives, and problem solving cross-functionally to achieve short and long term results\n\nAdvanced skills required in SFDC, Outreach, Gsuite. Familiarity with GTM systems (Marketo, Bizible, Zuora, CaptivateIQ), Looker/BI tools a plus\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
