At [HTTPie](https://httpie.io/), we're building tools for developers and rethinking the human-to-API relationship from first principles. As the creators of [well-loved open-source API tools for the terminal](https://github.com/httpie), we're on a mission to make APIs simple and intuitive for everyone—CLI-lovers and beyond. We're building a platform that will solve problems that humans encounter throughout the entire API lifecycle, starting with a web and desktop version of HTTPie for API testing. We've raised a $6.5M Seed Round lead by Coatue, and now we're building out our founding Engineering & Product Team—that's where you come in.\n\n### What you'll do\n\n- Collaborate with the team to build a product for API developers and consumers like yourself\n- Deliver performant, testable, maintainable, and high-quality code\n- Implement features with a focus on simplicity and top-notch user experience\n- Take operational responsibility for the parts that you develop\n- Have a lot autonomy and fun while doing so\n\n### Tech\n\n- TypeScript, React, Next.js, TailwindCSS, Electron\n- AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis\n- Vercel, GitHub, Linear, Slack, Notion, Figma\n\n### You'll be a great addition to the team if you have\n\n- 5 years of software engineering experience\n- Experience building single-page apps with React\n- Solid understanding of HTTP and modern APIs\n- Solid understanding of modern coding, testing, debugging, and automation techniques\n- Passion for developer tools and sense for what makes them amazing\n- Passion for simplicity, delightful user experience, and an eye for design\n- Good sense for when to choose a robust vs. minimal solution to move fast\n- Ability to comfortably navigate the ladder of abstraction\n- Strong communication skills, especially in writing\n- Eagerness to learn and share\n\n### Bonus points\n\n- Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, Vercel, Electron/PWAs, WebAssembly\n- Experience with Python, Rust, or Go\n- Experience with building distributed systems, AWS ecosystem, Terraform\n- Experience building a technology product\n- Early-stage startup experience\n- Open-source development experience\n- History of side projects\n- Entrepreneurial spirit\n\n### What we offer\n\n- Competitive salary and equity\n- MacBook Pro, 5K display, and accessories\n- Company-paid co-working space\n- Work remotely\n\nLearn more about us at [pie.co/about](https://pie.co/about) \n\nPlease mention the words **SPEAK MUFFIN CONDUCT** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMTguOTcuMTQuODE=).
