\nThis is not your average job posting - we're looking for a talented individual, someone to work with part-time / full-time (for a fixed term) or on contractual bases - whatever gets the job done and keeps you motivated. You can work remotely from the comfort of your home, once the project is initiated. We are, however, looking for an individual that resides locally in or around the London / Greater London area; so it's easy to commute to Slough as and when necessary. In any case, applicants living outside the UK should not apply, unless you're willing to commute to Slough at least a few times throughout the course of this assignment OR your experience, expertise and enthusiasm is so relevant to this job that you just have to apply even if you're in another part of the world.\n\nWe need an experienced Windows .NET Developer (C#), or a natural born C# prodigy, to develop a software for Windows 10 from scratch, based on an existing software that's available on the Mac App Store, called: 2Do \n\nThe software is demanding and will require an experienced developer who knows .Net inside out, and is familiar with performant network and database programming (will be using SQLite). \n\nThe developer will also need to be able to read and understand Objective-C code in order to try and port existing core libraries written for the Mac. Without this, you will not be able to port key components which need to be able to translate across platforms. \n\n\nOther than supporting all of the existing features of the Mac app (task management workflows), there will be a fair amount of code to write in order to support sync across devices over Dropbox and CalDAV. Again - this will become easy once the developer is able to read existing code written in Objective-C and port it across. \n\nWe envisage the software not taking more than 3 to 4 months to develop.\n\nDO NOT apply if:\n\n* You don't live within the UK / EU and are unwilling to commute to Slough as and when required, unless as previously stated you're a self-proclaimed C# genius with open source code to back this claim\n* You are not confident or do not have an excellent experience developing desktop applications\n* You are busy with 2 other jobs, fulltime and part-time, or are easily uninterested in your job \n* You think you'll be able to manage it but are not willing to commit\n* Have disloyalty issues\n* Do not like solving complex problems\n* Give up easily \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
